Incorrect, Canada declared war against Hitler-Germany some 70 years ago, there where Canadian troops fighting alongside British and NZ troops. 

There were also the invasions by the Yanks in the American Revolution and the War of 1812.

Plus, if you're from Quebec, there's also that whole Brits-taking-over thing.
