Is Tallis a permanent party member after you finish the DLC content? Like can you use her for the rest of the game?

It seems as though she only joins you for the duration of the DLC.

Which brings me to the question I was just idly wondering...once she joins you, are you then locked into the DLC areas until you finish the questline?  Because the thought of having her join you, and then proceeding to run around doing other stuff, just popped into my brain.  I'm assuming you can't do that.

Taking our party members to a fancy Orleasian party has great potential for comedy, especially LI's.

Party Guest: "Champion! That knife-ear servant of yours is picking the flowers from the fountain garden!"
Hawke: "That 'knife-ear servant' happens to be my lover."
Merrill: "Oh Hawke, this red one would go so well with your fancy new suit!"[sticks flower into Hawke's vest pocket]

That's assuming that the LI banter isn't bugged this time around..... :innocent:

Shhhhhhhh.... don't jinx itttt!

Ugh, Maker, nooooooooooooo! [/Sebastian]

Oops. Sorry!

WAIT...

this can be played in any act? Why would Hawke receive an invitation to a fancy party with stinky cheeses in Act 1, when he's not nobility yet?

I'm assuming Varric.

I would guess the invitationer is the Tallis and based on Hawke's reputation with Meeran/Athenril up to that point if nothing else.

Now I want Athenril in the DLC and to have some Athenril-Tallis dialogue.

Kasumi for DA2.

errr... i suppose that's good?
Kasumi was a great DLC....

Anyway:
i just want to state 2 things:

1. giving my enjoyment for Legacy, i will actually give this a shot, and the trailer did look pretty cool, but....
2. This is the critical part, but just a small, not a big deal, don't take this the wrong way.
You
guys want to make this more cinematic, i can tell, but honestly guys,
you people should consider getting another Engine imo, the "Cinematic"
Moments in this trailer just came off as robotic, badly placed and
Cheesy(specially at how fast the animations are).
This isn't a critic
for DA2 specifically, as other BW already had this, or the DLC, as DA2
already had this as well, and i'm not asking you guys to fix this in
DA2, that game is out, done(sorta) and dusted, nothing can be done, this
is a little feedback for DA3.

Anyway, i'll be looking forward to this [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/smile.png[/smilie]

Most likely Varric pulls some strings with his contacts.

No offence trailer looks good but I was hoping for a DLC or Expansion covering events after DA2 not another DLC that can take place anytime during DA2. Are we ever going to get something that tells what happens to Hawke after the events of DA2?

Agreed. Am all for a new engine. Just look at some competitor's company has done - The Witcher 2, Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim. The latter had a new video blowout recently, showcasing MAJOR improvements in graphics. These aren't just gimmicky, the new engine features are also integrated so much into the gameplay that I just went 'WOW'.

It's never been clearer to me that Bioware is well behind in this department.

More content that doesn't extend the campaign? Yet another DLC I won't be buying. Shame.

Well, technically it does, in that it extends the core game. But it's not really worth debating.

I notice Fenris and Isabela in a few scenes from this DLC. I'm betting they're the best companions to bring along on this little romp.

Also, I realize now that the dual-wielding jester is a woman. Probably a bard.

*Sigh* She's freaking everywhere these days... seems like I can never get away from her!

The DLC looks pretty good though, reminds me of the ME2 Kasumi - Stolen Memory DLC. Though I had hoped it wouldn't be connected with Redemption...

As long as there's...

1. Formal wear for each party member.

2. Formal dance with LI (ugh, typing this brings chills, I'm not into that "omg marry me, mai virtual waifu/husbando" crap)

3. Scene where Isabela offers to take Varric's arm and he responds with "Uh, you might have to kneel down a bit..."

I like!

DA3 is at least a year off. Any post-campaign DLC at this point would be a bad sign.

I absolutely adore formal occasions! That's enough of a reason for me to look into this DLC. I hope that we can keep those nice clothes that Hawke is wearing as well. A heist for some valuable artifact? Certainly enticing! Tallis seems like a cool character as well. For some reason, Lady Christina de Souza came to mind.

Here's hoping the party has kind of a Firefly's Shindig episode appeal with certain characters, too? I'm very excited for party banter!

Felicia Day is also a brilliant plus. I buy movies that I know nothing about because of a certain star that I love happens to be in it, so I can totally justify game content on those grounds as well.

Ooh this announcement has me positively a-tingle. Orlesian parties? A heist? Stealthy gameplay with Felica Day? All its missing is Pirates to be my perfect DLC. What's that? Isabela can come too? Problem solved!

^^YES!

And I have to bring Varric too on the first run. All rogue party for the win. Also, Hawke in fancy clothes. Team Fabulous will finally live up to their name.

I'm looking forward to this dlc and how everything could go horrible wrong at a fancy party with the compainions but my big question besides if the mice squeek with funny accents in the dlc is...

Are we gonna get Legacy Patched before this comes out? Fenirs LI banter is still not firing and the Key can't be put into the storage chest, just to name a few problems.

Elf + Kasumi = Felicia Day? = Awesome I say

Oh W00t! I'm excited for this:

....you will learn more about the Orlesians and Qunari.

Not enough Orlesians and Qunari for me. I better be able to visit their countries on DA3.

Awesome trailer to begin with

I agree it has similarities with "stolen memory"

It is good that bioware now bring back some from origins, very good.

This could be a small intro what will happen in DA3,

Hopefully it will be another dlc that will function as a bridge to DA3 if it will ever be anothe dlc

Bioware Good work

This dlc could also contain some reference to the origin qunari Sten.

That would be awesome

I really liked Kasumi's DLC and this one looks more interesting, so no problem there.
I just hope when Fernando Melo mentioned recently seeing Leliana "sooner than we think", he was referring to this DLC.

Keeping my fingers crossed

What can you guys tell us about the mechanics behind the stealth part? Will it be like Arrival (press Mouse 1 for killing mooks, press mouse 2 to sneak past), or will it actually require player skill to accomplish (learn guardsmen patrol routes, dart from cover to cover, visibility levels based on the light points in the room, that kinda thing)?

Mike Laidlaw wrote...
I
believe they are roughly equivalent, but different. You don't sneak past the same guys you would fight; it's kind of a neat setup. But still, early stages of bringing back objective-based, and optional stealth to get some of that "rogue" feel back. Definitely have some longer-term plans.
Definitely cannot talk about them ;)

If this means what I think it means (XP assignation based on objective completion rather than mook murder) I'll be extremely happy. About time cRPG picked up some clues from tabletop RPG evolution.

Hm. I'm having mixed feelings about the Felicia Day insert character thing because my gut feeling is that I would like things like that to be confined to "expanded universe" stuff like the web series. Nothing against Felicia Day, she seems pretty cool, I just...I dunno. Hopefully I end up liking Tallis.
