The DLC is not even out yet and people are criticising it...The bioware social network is something else...

And this stands in stark contrast to people who are already gushing its praise despite the fact that they haven't played it yet either?

There's nothing, at all, unusual going on in this thread.

To me it seems like a plug for FD and DA:R.

Thanks for that, this is getting old, for me after you get back to kirkwall after legacy(boring), it is never mentioned by any party member, like it never happened, so now we have another segmented add on that has nothing to do with the actual story
To me this "team" is lost of where to go and what to do next, grasping at straws

It was kind of the same with DAO DLCs. In fact, RTO even contradicted a few lines of dialog in the main game.

Now where is my credit card... Ah, found it:

Seriously though, October 11th? That's only a few days before Batman:Arkham City is released, how am I supposed to cram in time between classes, Batman, and DA2 DLC?

Any hint as to which companions might have the most to say? Obviously Anders, Varric and the sibling contributed the most to Legacy.

Well, let's ask this: does anyone in your party have a connection to Orlais, or to the Qunari in some manner?

Hmm, guess I'll be taking Isabela and Fenris with me this time. And Merrill of course. The party banter sure will be interesting.

You're forgetting Aveline, her father was a cavalier.

Looks like it should be interesting from the gameplay, I'm definitely excited for it to drop.

Will we only have her during the missions or will our old friends join us?

Much like Legacy, your companions will return, and once again they will be fully voiced.

The fully voiced companions in Legacy were an awesome treat. Thanks for keeping this going, BioWare!

Yeah, there was a line or two there that made little-to-no sense, as I recall.  I RP it as if the dying guy is losing it a little and everyone's too nice or disinterested or whatever to argue with him.

Fwliw, to me, the fortress you have to break into in MOTA sounds a little cliche and over the top (in a story sense at least, not necessarily a gameplay sense).  Also MOTA seems to be missing DA's requisite darkness, though perhaps it's there and the trailer and interview just aren't conveying it.  MOTA does seems to have a bunch of very positive points, though... I dunno, for me a DA2 dlc would just have a very steep uphill battle to convince me to buy.

The trailer doesn't inspire any major interest from me at this point.

As a side note I know this is jumping the gun a bit but is this an indication that we will only get ME2 style dlc with no expansion?

Hmmm...

This looks interesting. Congrats to the team on another story based DLC!

After watching the trailer, I can't help but be put in mind of the Kasumi DLC. Will have to see how that turns out.

And I am VERY happy to learn that all of the companion voice actors are back to aid the continuity feel, so major kudos for that.

(as a side note, do we know whether Fenris's LI dialogue has been fixed yet in the Legacy DLC?)

Much thanks to the team for this, I shall be watching the boards carefully for any further news as well as player feedback (alas, not a Day 1 purchase for me, sticking to my wait for player reviews approach).

Hope you got some beauty sleep for the camera Mike! Wish I could participate in the Q&A, alas work then a hop on a jet plane are on my schedule this day. Hope to be able to view the interview later.

Thanks again guys and congrats!

Except that "sneaking" and "stealth" isn't a new concept at all for the franchise.  It was a major part of any good rogue build in DA:O.  And it was something they obnoxiously scrapped for DA2.

Now they're bringing it back for a DLC and we're supposed to congratulate them for doing something "new"?  really?

There's always "that guy", isn't there?

Who's to say that it's going to be exactly like Origins? Who's to say it isn't totally revamped? At any rate, it's a new concept and experiment for DA2 that will carry over to future games.

God forbid we encourage the devs to do things we like. Image IPB

Uuuh, I can definetly see the dialog now. Isabela and Tallis being both skilled with daggers and stealth, and Merrill being an elf so that's gonna be interesting. And Fenris of course complaining and saying "Girls..." when my hawke and 3 other girls will be squeeing at Orleasin boys:P

Indeed. Showing a little appreciation goes a long way! BioWare didn't have to make this DLC at all...

We should almost be doing more than thanking them.

They didn't really consider to do DLCs because of how poor rating DA2 got, but they still did, and it turned out great.

So you’re speaking for the whole community and all the customers who bought DA:O, what we like?

I demand a companion voiced by Nathan Fillion. Make it happen, Bioware.

Would you settle for a villain?

Is it wrong of me to hope in some secret chamber of my heart (and delusional brain) that somewhere on the opposite side of the DA world are the lands of Jade Empire?

Also, I'm pretty tired of having Felicia Day shoved down my throat as some sort of nerd icon, but this DLC looks fun.  As someone who liked DA2, I'm pleased to have any new material offered and will happily fork over my dollars for this. So, thanks BioWare and DA team!

Just saw the trailer and I'm really excited. Good to see that Bioware is not only making more story based DLC, but is also trying out new things in them.

Looking forward to see how the stealth system works and to more banter from the companions.

The thought of this stronghold guarded by Orlesian chevaliers just makes me wince.

I mean, really, we will get "Now go away or I shall taunt you a second time."

Why no femhawke in the trailer? Defult femhawke is far sexier then Garret :P

BSN requests an alternative render with LadyHawke! ^^

Just take the exact same trailer, change ManHawke into LadyHawke pre-render and render it over again ^^

Yes! C'mon you did it for femshep, please do it for femhawke too.
