This. I wish she was a LI. She is attractive in an alluring way, much more so even than Morrigan (Hate her vanilla overuse of makeup) and Leliana (Cutesy ain't my type).
I expect she'll be a LI in DA3. Why else would they introduce a new character in both a DLC and a web series, if she wasn't going to be seen again?

They did a great job, I think you dislike it because she looks like a DA2 elf, which can't be helped.Sylvianus wrote...
To me she can be hot because of her body, because of her clothes, could be hot because of her personality, but certainly not because of her face quite ugly. This isn't the best work produced by Bioware, . They could do so far better than that in my opinion.

BioWare is going to claim more of my money it looks like. Love that we get to have a full party again and Felicia Day's character look like fun, a little sad she will only be there for the one mission. However I can understand letting us meet her now and letting her be a full companion in DA3 (wink wink nudge nudge). As stated by other posters the only problem with the DLC is Arkham Asylum is coming out a few days later.
Actually, Arkham City (the October sequel) is at least 25 hours long. But still, I can't wait for both that and this new DA2 DLC.

This was a mistake, IMO. Does Tallis resemble Felicia Day? Sure, but that's the problem. You see, Felicia Day is human, while Tallis is an elf. By making Tallis look like Ms. Day, they've made her look like a human with pointy ears instead of like an elf, which is what she is supposed to be. wasn't the whole point of changing the art style of elves in DA2 to make them more distinctive from humans and not less?

I hope not, but I supect that she and Cassandra properly will return for da3. (Sighs). I think I am not going to like da3's women... They look great, though.
Well, Tallis can positively surprise me. I am definitly buying.

Reading the descriptions of Katriel and Fiona in Gaider's novels, I was once again reminded just why I love the DAII elves. (Except the poorly rendered crowd npc elves). Much closer to those descriptions than anything in DAO, IMHO anyway.

I agree, Tallis looks great.
The only problem I saw with Tallis was with how she ran in the brief snippet around the 40 second mark. It seemed weird.

funny thing. In my previous post I had typed out that someone would find a way to say she looks like a human styled elf, but I deleted it.
Yes she looks like Felicia Day. But that doesn't mean she looks like Felicia Day. She has the same basic design of Felicia's face but Bioware gave her the elven features in the appropriate areas.

Perhaps that's just how FD looks in RL. I've never seen her outside of Internet videos and TV shows. Or maybe that's a peculiarity of DA2 females.

She kinda does have a long, thin neck in real life.
wait... maybe I'm seeing things.

All elves have long thin necks. FD's neck looked pretty normal in the YouTube video somebody linked elsewhere, so it's probably just an attempt at keeping the art style consistent.thats1evildude wrote...

Of all that I've seen about this DLC so far, that's probably the one thing that doesn't rub me the wrong way.

Not at all. I always said that Merrill, Athenril, Fenris were beautiful elves. And if there was work could be done on the elves, then I could like the new design.Atakuma wrote...

This proves that I know to be objective even though I have a negative opinion from the beginning in an area.
I hoped that Bioware which says " we will keep this art style " can benefit from this dlc to reassure me, which is not the case. Can benefit this dlc to make us all who have negative opinion, lying about that. That's not really the case for me. I see again the faces of the elves as a whole are not attractive at all, even worse they are rather disappointing after critics in the main game.
If I say this, that's because I am stunned by the lack of progress, not to recall any anti design Elves position. I can Deal with it about this design if I think there is a work, but don't expect I will change my mind if I don't see a result.
That's how I operate.
I said that Legacy was a great dlc, because I found that there was a true result, it was good work, beautiful etc..
And yet I had a negative view on the main game. I change my mind when I see that things change, regardless of my opinion of departure.

I am really looking forward to get to know this character...

Thank you for explaining your position and I apologize for being presumptuous. I think they did a great job working within the confines of the design yet still making her look like felicia day, obviously we'll just have to agree to disagree.Sylvianus wrote...

I was pleasantly surprised by Tallis' appearance. It looks to me like they took the basic features of DA2 elves- high, flat nose ridge continuous with the forehead, wide, sloping eyes and the goat ears- and toned them down a bit to be able to compare to a human face.Indoctrination wrote...

Which, if they do that for all the elves in DA3, and also moderate the body proportions, will be a good compromise IMO.

For. the love. of. god. Seriously Bioware, it wasn't possible to do better for her face ? It gives me here another example of how the elves are generally quite ugly to me in DA2. And the face is much less distinctive and " elf" that what we have seen in the main game. That not reassure me for progress in the future in this area.
Out of sheer curiosity... What do you find so ugly about Tallis' face? She's no photoshopped pagent queen, I'll give you that, but she does carry a certain natural beauty, in my opinion. Not to mention that the eyes, eyebrows, lips and nosetip look better than anything I've seen on the other elves in DA2 so far.
