With teh usual cavet that the more you put into the game (side quests, puzzels, etc) the longer it lasts.

Not a fan. She may not be ugly, be she's definitely no elf. It looks like an elf wearing a human mask (maybe it's a masquerade party?).Mr.House wrote...
She does not look bad at all, not as good as Merrill and Fenris, but she's not ugly, not by a long shot. Fiona would romance her for sure, maybe have Izzy join.
Make up your darn minds, BioWare.

For. the love. of. god. Seriously Bioware, it wasn't possible to do better for her face ? It gives me here another example of how the elves are generally quite ugly to me in DA2. And the face is much less distinctive and " elf" that what we have seen in the main game. That not reassure me for progress in the future in this area.
Out of sheer curiosity... What do you find so ugly about Tallis' face? She's no photoshopped pagent queen, I'll give you that, but she does carry a certain natural beauty, in my opinion. Not to mention that the eyes, eyebrows, lips and nosetip look better than anything I've seen on the other elves in DA2 so far.
Rendering is poor overall. Details can be beautiful regardless and give bad results if they are not compatible, or aligned, or positioned, or used correctly. Someone can have beautiful lips and eyes, but remain quite ugly overall. ( well She's not bad if you want )
I find the face pretty human, which lost a little this side distinctive proudly defended by Bioware, and I started to appreciate myself.
So, the face is more human, so the position of her eyes that are so elven, specifics to this race, gives a strange result. Her ears do not stick to the human head too. This gives her a funny face. This gives me the impression that we have a face that is not defined very well and thus distorted by the line that is not well defined, between something and something else.

I shall continue my trend of having the PC run around in circles and laughing like Ed from Ed, Edd, and Eddy.
not what you were talking about, but it always makes me happy. But to be serious, how many side quests and puzzles are there in here? Do they shed some light on the characters' pasts?
And since I'm not using twitter, can someone ask if Merrill will have any significance considering the Dalish heraldry was the same as her clan's?

I don't like the idea behind DLCs, nor the feeling of "mass effect 2" that revolves around this one (I found it extremely similar to Kausmi's adventure), so I won't be buying it. But I hope that satisfies to DA2 fans.

It looks more a deformity than an actual elf face. It may be the perspective in that shot, but I see her and I think of Irenicus (with his stretched face that was pinned in place). It looks like a mask on an elf head (and it doesn't fit quite right).
No wonder she likes so much the stealth. I'd want to hide that face too.

The DLC seems interesting in that it is story-based and adds a new facet to combat. Whether or not it will be implemented well remains to be seen, but comments like yours don't really add much to the ongoing discussion (as usual).

Are you saying that she looks like a half-elf?

If I was a DA2 elf and I gave birth to that face, I'd think there was some sort of shemtastrophe going on. I won't say I'd take her out in the wilderness and leave her to die, but... something would have to be done (certainly the clan could never accept that as pure elf).Weltenschlange wrote...

She's more like a cow with two heads than a true integrated crossbreed. Like maybe there was one human and one elf in utero, and she got the elf body and head structure but the human baby grew its face on the shared body.

isabela: have you shown yours to donnic yet? must be softer than the armor you always wear.

This. I've always felt that BioWare takes feedback from fans and critics alike into account, even after a successful release (and perhaps in some cases that is why they have made some fans unhappy) and it's good to see that still seems to be the case here. Presuming this DLC is all it appears to be it's a great idea, very creatively approached within the DA2 framework.
As for Tallis, I think she looks great. But then I've liked the 'nu-Elves' since the start, with the obvious exception of the background blurry faces.
