How do I get the feeling that this is "Kasumi - Stolen Memory" trasferred to DA world?

I get the feeling that, oh, rogues steal things from people for a living. I also get the feeling that Tallis trying to commit a major heist (or whatever her true plan is) is not going to play out exactly the same way as Kasumin's personal mission to recover her boyfriend-in-a-box did.

Out of curiosity, will there be acknowledgements of our existing romances/LIs in MotA like there were in Legacy? :)

What i heard sounded very promising, though i was slightly disappointed there won't be dancing(Isabela on the dance floor might have caused uproar though).

I've long argued for a dance off. I think David's on board, too, so someday... someday...

when you make a dragon age game set on orlais, make that one of the key points for it :P

wouldn't be orlais without dance parties...and stinky cheeses.

I honestly cannot believe people are bashing this DLC for being "a ripoff of Stolen Memory". The BSN is a rotten place, but you can only go so far.

How exactly do you know it's a rehash of another plot? More importantly, would that make it automatically bad? How do you know?
Even more importantly, you do realize that every conceivable plot has already been written at some point in history, right? Does the concept of "it doesn't matter what you do but how you do it" ring a bell?

I know some people have set themselves up to hate anything related to DA2, but this is simply irrational.

With teh usual cavet that the more you put into the game (side quests, puzzels, etc) the longer it lasts. ;)

Which means about 3-4hrs long maybe, if it's longer than Legacy?  First time through Legacy took me 2 and a half hours.  (running around for half an hour trying to find that last altar of dumat piece when it was right under my nose lol) And that's without skipping dialog.  Pillar puzzle was pretty easy (I excell at those types of puzzles so it's kind of hard to challenge me in that department lol.) So, factoring in puzzles, dialog, side quests (I assume), I can see this being anywhere between 3-4 hours in length?

I also suspect that the items will be about on the same tier as Legacy? Meaning not so great so as to not over shadow the item pack DLC?  And while Im on the subject, can we, Chris, for the love of Andraste's dimpled butt-cheeks get a GOOD 2 handed sword or axe? (and by good I mean one that levels with the user) I mean sure, the hammer is great, if you're into bashing things into a pulpy mass.  But Im more into cutting bone and sinew.  Sorry for temporarily derailing there but once my mind gets set on a train of thought, it just runs off with me lol.

hmm, I just hope this companion is permanent and a LI. And the DLC needs to be good.

DLC only. But there's going to be a live action web series available at the same time if you want more of her.

Plus I don't think Bioware would put all this effort and time into one character just to be done with her after the DLC. She'll probably show up again eventually.

I  do hope this will not be like the dlc with Kasumi. I didn't like it very much. :P

-1 I do not like being separated from my team. :crying: Seriously, The goal is to be with who we want in a rpg based on party. Who like to be separed from its team for a dlc ?

2 - Not really dlc based on story, we learn almost nothing about mass effect universe. A simple side quest to be honest.

3 - I can not also digest her jump of 10 feet in the air to cling to a helicopter . ( yeaaah matrix :D ).

4 - The character is nice but not really so much interesting in my opinion. actually, it is difficult to integrate her to the story of Mass Effect 2. I know that the goal is to recruit everybody everywhere in this sequel, but it's hard when in the plot, she is only useful to be a part of a commando to destroy the collector base..

Pros: a new companion, good gameplay and a new weapon.

DA2 Dlc seems already more interesting : more about dragon age universe,  ( we'll learn " apparently " more about Orlais and qunari )  ( May be more story too ? ) My team with me + party banter, Interesting new character, new bad guys, (  orlesian harlequin ) mhh, it smells good. Also the fight seems pretty good from what I saw. Yes give me a good fight as in Legacy. And cinematics were pretty attractive. I already like how Tillis fights XD.

Which elves had features that overpowered the faces for you?

All of them.

For me there were many elves in DAII that looked amazing. Athenril, Ineria, Fenarel, Ilen, Paivel, Marethari, Merrill, , Fenris, Orsino, Zevran (imo),

This. Also DAO also had ugly elfs, Cammen anyone?

DA2 had more ugly elves and the DA2 ugly elves were about 10x uglier than the few ugly elves in DAO. I can't even think about 98% of Writer's list of "amazing" elves without getting the creeps... gah!

Good news, Legacy took me 6 hours first time through. Also this makes the comparison to Stolen Memory worthless because that was only 2 hours for me so this must have a lot more to it.

Do our companions get fancy duds too? If so, do they get to wear them outside of the DLC, say in... DA2 itself? :3

As for the comparisons/"similarities" to Kasumi's DLC, that's not really a negative for me... as I had fun prancing around in my LBD and punching guys in the face.

I think that may be part of Varric's storytelling bias, though.  The darkspawn get a re-imaging in his mind and maybe the elves do too -- except the main ones who have a part to play in Hawke's story which remain pretty and sparkily.  If dwarves have a natural bias against elves in this world -- like they do in other worldbuilds -- then it might explain his preception of them.

Likewise, I always seem to take longer than the average. I guess we're lucky in a way!

Seen the comparison to SM (and Kasumi) bandied about elsewhere, what nonsense. Part of Stolen Memory's value came from having a whole new companion to play with, and they don't even seem that alike anyway, beyond the fact they are both heists and feature a thief. I suppose some people will jump at any chance to bash this game at this point.

Tallis seems like she will be a much fresher character than Kasumi too, with a whole new specialisation and such. Plus the one side benefit of her being temporary is that we don't have to worry about her not fitting in as well to the main plot or having moments with no dialogue.

If anything it reminds me of LotSB, although I suspect it won't be quite that large?

Will probably get severely punished for this but does this add anything to Hawke, like Legacy had to do with Hawke's line. What does this new DLC bring forth for Hawke??? Or is this an advertisement basically for Redemption?

I thought Bioware knocked it out of the park with Legacy (best DLC they've released for any of their games yet) so I'm optimistically looking forward to this one!

It sounds like its more about adding to the lore than to Hawke.  I'd like to see why Hawke goes along with this though...  It works for me just because its clear Isabela wants to go steal something, and she's my Hawke's main squeeze, but I'm curious as to why other Hawkes would be interested.

Aren't elves supposed to have tattoos, though. And I do agree that Tallis's face look way too human for her being an elf. However, she's supposed to be a mysterious elf....so that all may equal out....

Why my Hawke would be interested? Maybe Isabella will be in it? I'm curious what she's been upped to since she just left....with a certain book....

I think it looks fun and I'll definitely play.

I listened to the interview earlier and I really liked the focus that was placed upon alternative approaches to encounters rather than a slaughter-everything-with-a-pulse mechanic, sneaky Hawke could provide some welcome variety in the gameplay.

In the same vein, I was happy to hear that puzzles have made it into the DLC. I just like to mix things up a bit; I think it keeps the game fresh and that you enjoy combat more when it isn't the only challenge given to a player.

One last thing - how good do those wyverns look!  I want a bow, a horse, some sturdy hunting boots and maybe a little something warming in a hip flask....yep, I'm in!  Image IPB

If the Qunari are a part of this DLC, is it possible that Sten makes an appearance?

You keep hoping for companion equippable clothing/armor dont you? lol.
It's kinda cute in a naive, hoping against hope kind of way :P  In all honesty though, you know just as well as I do that it's not going to happen though.
