Only played the male shep once and that was very monotone, since I'm female I play femshep now and forever.

ME has so many similarities with B5 I love it.

My main femshep is called Sheridan. Do love those similarities to B5
(Also have two others, Eliison - named for Harlan, and Kinsey)

I named my Gabriel.

Why? It's simple. Garrus is and has always been my bromance, and he was called Archangel in ME2. So I ended up taking the name Gabriel from Gabriel the Archangel.

Raas Shepard - Raas is a shorthand for my real name, this is my canon modeled after me and handled like I'm the one making the decisions

Otherwise I name my Shepards after what I'm going for with that career. Pirate Shepard, Troll Shepard.

Rylie Shanti Shepard : Rylie because I wanted a gender neutral first name and it kind of reminded me of Ripley, another badass chick fighting aliens.

Shanti is technically her real birth name. I actually grabbed it from a documentary I had watched about a handful of low class children in India. When the little girl named Shanti lost her mother, she disappeared for the rest of the documentary and it was presumed she was forced to take her mother's place as a prostitute. She was ten I think. I thought it'd be a good idea to at least give Rylie an Indian name to indicate her origins(I don't know why I didn't think that right away), and the story from the documentary inspired me.

Bonus points, Shanti means peace which I feel serves two symbolic purposes. 1. It is the opposite to what Rylie's life has been. 2. It goes with her paragon behavior. It is what she hopes to bring to the galaxy.

My other Shepard, Nicole I didn't put too much thought into but it was one of the first names I pulled out back when I first started ME1. The Shepard has changed in personality and appearance but the name remained.

My femshep is named Alexandra because I've always liked that name for women. My sheploo is Braedon because I've always thought that it was an awesome name.

I didn't really think I could do that as my name is the long form of John.  No I'm not telling you how its spelled lol.

My MainShep is Iris, simply because I like the name.

Other FemSheps are Lily and Helen. I gave a brief thought to sticking with flower names, but anything beyond Iris and Lily sounded too corny to me.

MaleSheps are Peter and Eric. No particular reason beyond the fact that the combination of those names with Shepard sounds good to me.

I picked run-of-the-mill names for a more realistic feel.

My main shep is called Owen. It just stuck for some reason. Using my name really didn't feel right Now I use it for any game that I get to name my character in. Or the welsh variation Owyn.

I am gonna name my Shepard... Gilgamesh, he will be the most hated Shepard for his ill treatment to women and children while having a massive ego.

Edit: Gilgamesh is from the character Gilgamesh, a character from Fate/Stay Night and his personality is exactly I state in this post.
