BTW, the "Official" Dragon's Dogma forum is here:

http://www.capcom-eu...splay.php?f=672

It's not very active. Maybe the Japanese Capcom site has a more active fan base who will voice their concerns over wanting a PC version.

I can't even open the capcom us website:

"The webpage at http://www.capcom.com/us/ has resulted in too many redirects. Clearing your cookies for this site or allowing third-party cookies may fix the problem."

EDIT: here is the page to post your request for PC version: http://www.capcom-un...w_your_support!

Wouldn't it mean more if the european forum suddenly came to life with excited PC gamers looking for a port?

Capcom amazes me sometimes. They didn't hesitate to release Street Fighter IV on the PC. An RPG should be a no-brainer.

Dragon Dogma's currently scheduled for an early 2012 release for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. When asked about the possibility of a PC version, the developers laughed. (Seriously.) Right.

As protest, you should all make flatchested characters.

How tactful of them. It will be interesting to see how Dragon's Dogma does in the wake of Mass Effect 3.

If Capcom really doesn't have plans for a PC version I'll probably skip Dragon's Dogma or simply wait for the price to drop below $30. I own a PS3 but I prefer to support RPG development on the PC. Especially smaller studios like Larian (Divinity series) or Runic Games (Torchlight).

Apparently Destructoid did not get the complete story.

Yes the Japanese guys laughed because they kept getting asked that question via their translator, not because they were acting dismissive of releasing a PC version.

Complete quote from 1UP:

" Asked if such a version could also see release, the Japanese producers immediately laughed and became animated upon hearing the word "PC," with translator Miguel Corti revealing that they had anticipated the question coming up during the event....[According to Kobayashi] "Right now, nothing's off the table yet....But if the PC users out there really are vocal about having this game, then we can definitely consider it."

Ah yes, behold the beautiful theme song in Engrish!

The large monster encounters look pretty horrible in this game, dragons just standing around lazily as the character runs up and finds a place to stick a sword.

Aside from that, I'm not opposed to sliders for all kinds of character traits, features and proportions. I'm kind of tired of seeing characters that are all the same size and have all the same bone structure or phenotype.

Boob sliders in The Movies were amusing. And amusingly realistic.

Even though the boob slider sounds really vain, I like the ability to customize my character more indepth. I mean not everyone is a skinny, tall, ripped dude. I would rather be able to make someone like Rutger Hauer's build in Blade Runner because that is closer to my real life build. More customization is never bad. Just on the character customization alone, I'm thinking about looking at Dragon's Dogma now.

WTF did someone who works on games share Turnip's view on PCs?  Damn this game went from not even on my radar to being midly interested then back to off my radar in less than a day.
Capcom is losing their minds.  They drove Megaman creator away and now this?!
Whatever they'll have ulitmate edition 4 months later with all the content that they scrapped to put in another version so people will buy the same game twice.
Yea I'm still bitter from MvC3.

I just started reading some of the updates, and Capcom sounds like its seriously looking at trying to become a TES killer. The graphics look incredible, but I just hope that Capcom can make a good storyline to go with the game. They are pretty awful at making stories work, but Bethesda is like only 10% better which isn't much. I'm kind of skeptical about the combat system, though, because we only get to choose between three measly classes. I wish they could make some mixed classes like a spellsword or something.

Ha ha ha aha ha ha ha ahahahahaha ahab hazmmzghjajasnhsjs!!!!!

It's your happy day then. You can actually create these type of classes and mix and match classes too:

Click

Warrior, strider and mage are just the three basic classes that you can make more from. The formula is that they are the basic components but you can make a Mystic Knight who specializes in magical attacks and melee attacks. You can also make an archer who can cast spells - healing or defensive - or a mage who uses a big badass two handed sword.

As for me complainining about the CC earlier ago...I was wrong. More customization is good and Dragon's Dogma really is looking set to be a great game.

Capcom is extremely naive on this subject, it's almost like PC's never made it to Japan.

Not to toss any fuel on a fire, but if Dragon's Dogma was ported to PC from console, wouldn't it be of a lesser quality than if it were the reverse? I've read that a lot of PC gamers were rather upset about that point with DA2. Of course, maybe I'm misunderstanding the point. I play on console. Image IPB

Yeah, I thought so too. Let's hope what we saw hadn't been "prettied up" for a release yet.

Well not sure if you mean gameplay or graphics...lots of people feel DA2 was consolized but if you mean graphics well the game is ugly even for a console title.

Capcom was not being dismissive of the PC version.

The Japanese executives laughed only because they kept getting asked about the PC version - this was explained fully by their translator in the 1up article here: http://social.biowar...37196/3#8341512

I'd be signing that. I wouldn't expect deep characters or good writing, but the gameplay looks very good.

Well this article seems to state that the story is very important and that every action you make will have consequences and that there are even different endings. It sounds like the story will probably be heavy.

And I really don't know what Teddie Sage is going on about, the graphics look amazing. Though it's the gameplay that I'm more interested in.
