i have some questions that i have yet to get answered by the bio-ware staff. yes i know these questions are probalay somewhere easy to find but to be honest i haven't found them so i'm asking you (the public) for some answers hoping you have them
1)i'm on ps3 so what disadvantages are there?
2)Is DA:O going to be be online and if yes will it be online for ps3?
3)Do we get to create our own characters at the start? (this has confused me as there is a character creater for download and it says you can put these charatcers on the actual game.)
4) will this be like other RPG games and bring out an extended version a couple of months later if so would it be worth waiting?
5) knowing that this is just Origins i assume there is going to be more?
6) i saw someone say on another post this won't be like oblivion and you can't travel where ever you want on the map is this true? and does that mean we can walk off and do whatever we want we can only do quests ? also if it is true won't that mean the game will get boring at the end as there will be nothing to do, besides start again as another character?

1.) Less access to mods and user-generated content. I have heard that only the best user-generated content will be available for consoles, whereas PC players can download anything. As far as I know, there are also no tools to create mods on the consoles. The graphics settings will also not be as robust, so theoretically a powerful PC will make the game look better.
2.) It is not online in terms of co-op play.
3.) We get to create one avatar, yes.
4.) There is going to be downloadable content continually added. I would not be surprised if, in a year or so, a version is released with all of the downloadable content release up until then included, as most companies do this.
5.) Dragon Age is a franchise that will reach many forms of media. This game is the largest component, but it is just one component. I would expect there to be sequels, and there is definitely downloadable content.
6.) I am not sure as I have not personally played the game yet and have actually read fairly little on game/plot mechanics and content in order to not spoil anything.

1. There is no guarantee any user-made content will make it to consoles. Bioware is working with Sony and MS to let it happen, but I am very doubtful.
5. If DA:O does well, they make more games in teh universe.
6. IT is not an open-world game, but it has a big world. The first section is fairly linear, then the world opens up and you can choose where to go and what to do. But do not expect Oblivion; you won't be able to break into random houses and steal the residents' spoons. But there will be sidequests and stuff to do. As far as boredom, the game is story-driven; once it ends, it is over - there's no free play after you finish.

so would it be better to get it on pc and after you finish the game in every class your saying thats it, there is nothing to do. but i'm guessing by the time you have done that, dragon age 2 will be out

Well not really, there will probably be about 10 different DLC by the time you finish all the classes and origins. So there won't really be "nothing" to do after you finish the game, since you can probably continue on your character with the DLCs that will come out.

Community will make great single player campaigns to play seperate from the main campaign. Maybe even translate old NWN ones, who knows.

If you have a PC capable of running the game well, get it on PC. The biggest bonus is that you will have access to potentially thousands of user-generated mods that will provide endless hours of content. This assuages the concern that you will run out of content, as even if BioWare cannot keep up, and companies never can due to simple logistics, the community can.
