The spoiled mages break free of their decadent towers in a bid for freedom and equality, the drug addled templars seek to contain the dangerous beasts and bind them into luxuriant confinement once more. But this is the WRONG revolt. For the mages are a miniscule minority who are kept in conditions most peoples of Thedas can only dream of achieving and whose struggle is not of equality but of superiority.

The vast masses of peasents and serfs who inahbit Thedas are cattle to their "noble" masters, whose roles are decided before they are even born and whose class limits them to toil until death for "better" men. No matter their skill or ability, they are bound to service and capitulation wherever their strengths lie. There is no "freedom" here, there is only illogical and restrictive feudal slavery.

And why do the nobility rule. Because of a non existent god and a burned madwoman who grant them divine right, because of the great deeds of their ancestors and not their own ability, because they have spent so long lying to the masses that they now believe they are better because of the blood in their veins. These spoiled fat wastrels have lied long enough and they have harmed all Thedas in their desperate and vicious attempts to hold onto and grasp even more power in their greedy porcine paws.

The mage rebellion is WRONG. Why should the few lyrium tainted have freedom when the many slaves of the unjust feudal slave kingdoms toil as cattle for the blubberous nobility and know neither freedom or hope beyond the whip and their "lords" will. Only one uprising is morally just, that is when the vast hordes of the bas scream that there have been ENOUGH lies and ENOUGH slavery in thedas and cast down every fattened pig who seeks to ride upon their backs.

Under the Qun, every child shall be tested extensively for their aptitude and appointed a task which suits their abilities and that shall be the only limit for their advancement. If they can excel, then they shall be allowed to and encouraged to do so rather than be shackled to a plough until death. If they are born to rule, then they shall, no matter the "quality" of their blood or their childish faith in a maker.

Seek true freedom people of Thedas, bow down to the Qun and in submission be set free to excel and be as great as you wish to be. And in time, together, we shall find a way to sever the fade from reality and free the lyrium tainted so that they are the same as all of us and no longer cursed with magic or possession.

The Qun is all.

I don't see the future of Dragon Age allowing the protagonist to side with the Qunari.

To be honest, I don't even see Dragon Age 3 allowing the protagonist to support the templars or the mages against the other.

......the people of Thedas would be wise to heed the portents on the winds, to cast their eyes to the periphery lest they lose that fleeting glimpse of destiny, fate, chance...

But *points to avatar* I'm just an old hag who talks too much. What do my words matter...

But it should LobselVith, for only in the Qun is there hope. The mages offer nothing but another Tevinter whatever their intentions, while the templars are drug addled in return for service and whether they know it or not are hateful of their own condition and the servants of the false god who inflict it upon them.

What would the Qunari do about Morrigan and The Warden, who seem to be plotting to change the shape of Thedas with their messianic child? And even Flemeth, aka Asha'bellanar, the proverbial wild card in all this turmoil?

Can your words teach me to be a dragon? If so, they matter lots.

The Qun has nothing to say or offer to the noble halla.

The wardens will be brought within the Qun and their role honoured and expanded, when a blight ends the war against the darksppawn shall not, with explosives and poisons we shall pursue the monsters into their lairs until the last one is slain and their archdemons disected and studied.

The saarebas no matter their names will be collared and put to service so that the majority are kept safe from the minority and all qunari shall honour their sacrifice until we find a way to cure them. Their will be no petty punishments or abuse, for such cruelty is not allowed under the Qun, and if some should be tempted to discriminate against the afflicted they shall be stilled with qamek and made to serve their victims.

The Qunari are a bunch of crazy cultists who have to hunt down and murder their kin to preserve their insane society.

What the Qun offers is just another form of slavery, Do as the Arishak dictates or you can die.

@PuppyFlavour - Clever child...you do know that there is *always* a catch, right?

@mousestalker - The halla were favored by The People...you shall always have a place in The Wilds, should you so desire.

The arishok only commands the antaam Phaffner, the body of the Qun. If you are not a soldier he has no say over you. If you are engaged upon a task that is of benefit to the Qun and the triumvirate should bid you stop, then you would be justified in telling them that they are wrong and no longer serving the greater good and the people.

@PuppyFlavour - What an...interesting array of offerings. I shall have to mull on that. Perhaps after a snack of crispy mcdarkspawn. -_-

The Qun offers wisdom and you choose to deal with a hair antlered abomination, I do not understand the bas.

Still nice Howard qoute.

OP, do you ever stop with the real life / live-action role-playing of a qunari?

I wonder where people get this impression that the Qunari actually test people for aptitude. Sten says everybody does what they're most fit to do, but Sten also finds it incomprehensible that a man would be a fit philosopher or a woman a fit warrior (and of course a mage is not a fit anything but mage-ing, which makes it epic hilarious in DA2 when your female mage!Hawk finishes collecting swords and gets told she'd be a proud hunter and leader under the Qun). Seems fairly clear that their role assignments are as arbitrary as any other society in Thedas, and if they do do any "testing" it's not exactly the vigorous or comprehensive sort.

*laughs*

Are the antlered and horned abominations now? How quickly do the Qunari neglect that which sprouts from their heads.

(And thanks)

@blothulfur Priorities, man. Wisdom, of any sort, is rather dull compared to being a huge flying thing with the power to torch entire villages at a whim and have batty cults form around my being.

The Qunari obviously invented the Qun to compensate for their inadequate head foliage. Totally understandable.

Fair point Whykikyouwhy, I maybe a little bitter over my own lack of head decoration.

Vit, yes.

Quething, the testing is intense and rigorous, a sten would not know much of the testing that the tamassran perform so he may have lied truthfully. Do not believe the lies that the dwarven braggart Varric Tethras peddles as truths, he misrepresents us most cruelly and his falsehoods are intentional.

Arishok says to Hawke, "Our enemies strike from shadows because they cannot stand to face us," implying the Qunari fight honorably, however, he later deceives Hawke and ambushes him, attempting to kill him dishonorably...

What's this? A thread from blothulfur suggesting we should submit to the Qun?

I am shocked, SHOCKED that such a thing is possible.
