Hi, Ive done all the main quests and all the quests for Denerim and still the alienge is closed to me.  Any help is greatly appreciated, running around for 3 hours wondering what to do is NOT fun.

it doesn't open until near the end of the game, during the Landsmeet sequence. there's no way to get in before then.

its not unlocked until after you go to redcliff and talk to the arl to head to denerim for the landsmeet.



so depending on just how far you are in the game it could be awhile yet before you get into it

How do I activate the landsmeet? Ive talked to the Queen, Ive done the Fort, what?!

Edit - the Arl of Red is in Denerim, still nothing.

well your farther in than i thought.



you talked to the queen in her room at the arls estate and said you would either support or not support her in the landsmeet? pretty sure it was after that you get to go to the alienage.

Ive talked to her, Ive done EVERYTHING I can, cant talk to anyone (important) about anything else. And yet the gate is closed.



Please dont tell me this is a glitch...

k i checked, as soon as i returned to the arls estate and entered his room, which initiated a conversation with the arl and the queen is what unlocked the gate in my game. i didnt even have to talk to the queen i just left right away and checked the gate and it was open.

Ive been back the the Arl multiple times, no such scene has transpired. The only speech option I have is "I should get back to work now"

you have gatherd 4 armys, told the arl to head to denerim for the landsmeet, rescued the queen from howes estate, goin to the arls estate in denerim after the escape from fort drakon and as soon as you enter the arls room a conversation is started where you can say blah blah im glad your alrigth queen ect ect. at which point the "unrest in the alienage" quest is added to your journal

Yes. I have done that all, and Unrest is my current quest. The door is locked and I am pissed.

reload a previous save near the end of the fort. and try talking to the arl again and as soon as the unrest in the alienage qust starts go check the gate.



i save often when i play to avoid such situations. its like a force of habbit.



i have 71 hard saves from my last play through that doesnt include the number of times ive hit quick save....
