Razorfish and I posted up a summary of today's developer chat with Mike Laidlaw with temporary video embeds of the Q&A and the beginnings of a transcript (work in progress, started with transcribing all the questions).

As with our last transcript, we included timestamps of when the questions were asked in the video(s), so you can skip forward to the segment that you're looking to watch/listen to.
Am I the only one who finds Laidlaw really ... likeable?
I mean I've said time and again my opinion on DA2, but he himself is actually a pretty cool guy and I've never had a problem with anything he's said on the forum or on developer chats.
Yeah, Mike is likeable and professional. There are very few devs who are so good with the fans. And considering the ****storm of criticism he's endured, that's pretty amazing.

You're not the only one. The man must have a charisma of 30 at least.

I also find him extremely likeable.

Can understand why, and should it prove to be the case it's merely a testement to those who created the character that I would want to keep them for the duration. Alas.
I'm quite positive we'll get to see more of Tallis in the future. Though how close that might be I'm not as sure.
That's a good point, presuming her death isn't an option in the DLC I can certainly see BioWare asking Felcia back for a (bigger?) role in DA3.

I'm with you, he is really a good guy. I could hate, everybody on the bsn one day, DA3, and all this franchise in some years, but never Mike.alex90c wrote...

This guy is humanly charming, friendly, and has great energy communicative, enthusiasm, and passion when I see him on TV. Always ready to launch a joke. What I like very much as profile. When I see him on TV, it reminds me sometimes that Bioware isn't just a company.
Yes, shocking.
I could disagree with him and what he likes about some aspects of DA2, but that's it.

Thanks for the kind words; I really appreciate them! Those kinds of chats are a lot of fun for me, and I'm glad I can make them a bit fun to watch, too.
Long term, we want to do more, especially to demonstrate gameplay as it evolves.

Uhh.. Mr. Laidlaw. Are you going to make a plausible excuse for cirlce Bethany to be involved in the dlc, because of all the sibling fates I just can't see how she can be allowed.

Yep, it's covered. In Orlais it's something of a social coup to have members of the circle attend your parties. They do love flaunting thier power, those Orlesians.

I buy that explanation.
Actually it was silly of me to ask the question since I play mage, but I was just interesting in the reason. Thanks for answering so quickly.

It seemed myself and others on Steamline felt it wasn't long enough. Felt sad for those who said they waited hours to watch it. Plus since I don't like twitter a lot of us on Streamline could not ask a question that we felt was not asked either regarding the DLC or future stuff.

Yea I had 3 questions I wanted to ask but when I found out that they were only using Twitter I was very sad and angry. I abhor twitter with a fiery hatred of burning.... hate.
Right now, the only one I can remember that I wanted to be answered was if Merrill would have any significant moments in the DLC considering the heraldry on the banners is the same as her clan's (like how bringing Anders, Varric, and the sibling in Legacy had more stuffz).

Can you give us a peak at Ladyhawkes party clothing Mike? Pretty please? :innocent:
This will actually be a deciding factor for me, regarding my purchase. Much like the little black dress in Stolen Memories turned me from "BAH DLC" to "why isn't this downloading faster."

That dress was obnoxious. And femshep looked like a tranny in that dress, because of the way she moved like a dude.

LOL, get over yourself. Plenty of FemShep players liked the dress. And the animations need work, but it's better than being forced to play a male character. Which is why I'd like to see Female Hawke in that trailer.

Thanks for answering my question about Cassandra. Though, lol, about my twitter name. It's clear neither of you are Death Note fans. lol.
Anyhow, I was thrilled that you guys are wanting to have unique class experiences as that was one of few things that I really was wanting to be included in upcoming installments.
