Hoping for a dev clarification on a mechanics issue.
Weapons deal less damage in the hands of squadmates than they do in Shepard's hands. This damage reduction is governed by an entry in each weapon's section in C.ini. So far so good, but:
Where in the damage calculation does this multiplier apply?
Say I'm rolling Thane, with his fully upgraded +50% damage bonus from Drell Assassin, and he's using a sniper that does 100 damage per shot and has 2/6 damage upgrades. This sniper's hench damage modifier in C.ini is set at 0.5.
Is Thane doing
[100 (base) + 50 (skill) + 20 (research)] * 0.5 = 85 damage per shot?
Or is he doing
[100 (base) * 0.5] + 50 + 20 = 120 damage per shot?
The former would make more sense, but the latter would be more in line with the way ammo powers work.
Actually, for that matter, do ammo powers on squaddies draw their damage calls from base weapon damage or modified hench damage?

In the past, I have PM'ed Eric ****nan ( who is a moderator for this forum ). His name will be mangled by the posting engine, but he is the 9th Moderator listed at the bottom of this page. He has gotten back to me when I asked him questions about the damage of the Incisor, and also about how Arush works. If its interesting enough, he will update the sticky at the top of this forum. I, too, am interested in the answer to your question. Let us know...

Thanks, I'll try that.
Edit: That was quick. Seems the modifier alters the base damage, and all subsequent calculations flow from that.
Which is probably why single-target ammo power evolutions (Tungsten, Heavy Warp) only do around 20% more damage than the squad versions. An 80% damage increase (80% from Shredder on one weapon doing full damage) versus a 180% damage increase (60% from Shredder on three weapons doing full damage) is a no-brainer, but it actually ends up being more like 80% from one versus 90% over three, which is pretty fairly balanced.
