what a load of ****: shepard in chains in the brig of his own ship, with anderson in charge of the SR2? i mean: really? and people actually think this is good?! Vega just comes across as a younger, less-interesting zaeed-a-like.

Imo, it's just the the official story people in the iniverse are supposed to believe. Shepard knows, that he the scape-goat. He knows that he has to play his role until the trial, but there is no way he will just go to his cell after the trial is over

Being locked on his own ship with your friend Admiral Hackett has advantages. In an emergency, Shepard can easily change from the semi-prisoner to the Spectre without as much as moving a finger.

I'm commenting on Vega/mShep relationship. The comment was just a joke, by the way.

... *Daydreams about M!Shep/Vega anyway*

@Feanor: It's not really a canon, more 'default', and this was established a while ago in the previous comics/books/spin-off games.

He's been Councilor since Retribution, which is over a year old.  He was also Councilor in the Inquisition mini-comic, which is nearly a year old.

I actually liked it better than all the other comics. I'm just confused that one of the silhouettes looks exactly like a Collector. I guess I just assumed they were all extinct at this point. It was never really made clear if they are really sentient anymore and could survive on their own, or if they had more than 1 ship. But according to Mordin they don't have to eat, so why not lol

you are much better off: the quality bar for the universe is much higher if you deal with just the games...:pinched:

It's likely that if Anderson was elected to become the human councilor, he stepped down after a while and handed over the post to Udina.

He said himself that he didn't really enjoy the work. Probably got fed up with it.

Loved the comic (pages 5 & 8 are swapped though). Easily one the most interesting things to come out form ME3 promo campaign so far. Love Vega!

Though I'm tired of these one-word "...-tion" titles of all ME comics and novels, it all blends and confuses things for people who don't know the expanded lore ultra-hardcore. Minor nit-picking though.

Yup, I agree, liked this mini-comic as well!
And I don´t really think there are Collectors on Omega...just strolling around :P

You never know, you never know...
Hide your humans, cause they collectin' everybody out there!

Seriously though, can you imagine? Massive panic in the streets! And you bet that this is happening deep in Omega, otherwise Aria would be hunting and killing them like it's nobody's business.

And about canonicity & Anderson: it´s clear we got to make the decision in-game, and we´ve seen they stuck to it in the next game!
What happens in between is for Bioware to decide, since it´s their story, and therefore canon! Until we get an explanation, for how things transpired, you shouldn´t jump to conclusions....
After we get an explanation, and it´s not satisfying (well, for some it won´t be no matter what [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/lol.png[/smilie]), you can rant as much as you want [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/grin.png[/smilie]!

This occurred to me, Anderson stepping down isn't such a "betrayal to choice" as some make it out to be. People and circumstances change, so it's only natural your choices might not be what you initially foresaw in the long term. I personally never chose Udina as councilor (yet... :P), but in the books you clearly get that Anderson is tired of politicking and wants to go back to "fighting the good fight". For me, as long as the change is consistent with the character (and is based on common sense), I have no problem when things happen differently of what I expected. Anderson falls in this case, for me at least.

Also, on a sidenote: You guys claim that you wanted to hate Vega, or thought he was boring. Come again? What are those feelings based on? 'Cause you either have more information that I do (and if that's the case please, please, point it to me! :D) or you work at BioWare's writing team (and if it's that case please, please get me a job application to fill! ) and know him from the inside out.

Jokes aside, you barely know him! I'd wait for more info until you give your final judgement on the guy. Judging him from looks or his job (which is, I believe, the only two pieces of info we have until now) won't get you far. You know the drill: hidden depths! ;)

Oh great. The character I was determined not to like goes around kicking the tar out of batarians in his leisure time. This puts me in a difficult position, Bioware.

I already like him more than Ashley/Kaidan:pinched:

Yeah that's very lame. Especially since paragon Shepard says he'll turn himself in when the time comes so there's no need to put him in chains. Renegade Shepard just resists and since the Normandy has superior armor, shields, firepower AND an AI on board, destroys any ship coming after him...

That wasn't racist, he but up a bunch of Batarian Thugs, making it perfectly acceptable behavior.

Well, Paragon Shepard would surrender willingly to appear compliant, and Renegade Shepard doesn't really gain anything by destroying Alliance ships, since we'll be needing as many of those as we can get, hmm?

I really doubt pissing off the Alliance this close to the Reaper invasion is a good idea.

From what I understood. All Shepard's will go to the trial. Renegade Shepard was pissed over it.

Yeah. God forbids that one takes responsibilities for one's actions, right?

I actually find it to be a refreshing twist. That Shepard can't commit mass murder and things that are close to genocide and get away with it.

"I stop a Reaper invasion and they want to put me on trial?!" or something to that degree.

That is what renegade Shpeard is pissed off at. He did not do what he did for kicks, he did it to delay the Reapers and buy the galaxy time.
