still, what the hell are the mal-formed things with multiple sets of arms on page four i think it is? new aliens or just crap? if the latter seriously bioware why do you let this **** carry the series name

The art is kinda nice... but the.. 'um, "dialogue" ... yeah... that's just... well... awful... sorry, but it was painful to read. Ultra campy (not in the good way) and cheesy and.. well.. just, bad.

Well I guess I was comparing it to the previous dark horse ME comics.. which were hideous in comparison... compared to those, it's good hehe 

EDIT: also I have to add... I assumed these were fan made... not "official" ... didn't realize... for fan work it's passable.. but wow, if those are scans of an official comic.. then.. ouch. I'd be mad if I spent a penny on it.

With the exception of the last page, this entire comic was incredibly pointless.

I would have preferred if we actually learned something about Vega rather than the fact that he is a walking slab of meat.

WOOOO! fresh story goodness, even if it's in the form of a short, rather shallow comic... which seemed like it was mostly fighting... BUT, I'm just so desperate for some mass effect that I will take whatever I can get and be happy.

Okay, this doesn't look like a "deal" Shepard worked out. Shepard's in chains. That's not a good deal.

And I can't tell if Shepard is actually on the Normandy, or if it was some flash to see Shepard in chains.

I'm not sure, but the normandy would be the worst place to confine him. The crew are far too loyal to him to let Shepard be placed in the brig - hell, I'm not sure the Normandy SR2 even has a brig. Unless the entire crew had been placed under arrest too.

Its probably just a flash to a random cell where Shepard's being held.

Even though comic wasn't really that great I now have a new found interest in James Vega. Now I wonder how this character is going to act around Shepard, and what happened on Fehl.

I'm guessing the chains are mainly just for show. The Alliance is placing him/her on trial , and want to appease the Batarians, so they'll do whatever it takes to send the message that they're not okay with what happened, even if they know the reasons behind what he/she did.

And  I'm guessing Shepard really is there. Makes me think we'll have Joker, and most other people who wouldn't bail out beforehand, at the trial. And why am I suddenly seeing a ME2 like interrogation scenario aboard the Normandy to set plot flags with Anderson and Vega? 

Well, I guess it's as good a place as any to introduce him, in my opinion. That way he won't feel like a total stranger when he hops into the ship to get you out of Earth during the prologue. We'll see.

The guy doesnt look much like his game counterpart tough, the one in game has a much uglier mug(unless they changed it). I seriously tought the guy was Kai Leng, before they said his name.

Also what's up with the weird 4 armed aliens, are they supposed to be a new race or just the artists own crap he threw in? Citadel space and Terminus systems is supposed to have multiple species no one has seen yet tough...

It would make no sense if Vega is guarding Shepard from within the Normandy. Would it? I'm assuming maybe Anderson was a place-holder in the earth demo, and that Vega is actually the guy who escorts her/him? For a place-holder though, that's a lot of work. :S

The deal wouldn't have been "I don't get arrested".  It would have been, at best, "Here's HOW I want to get arrested, and by WHOM."  Because the fact is, there's no way Shep wasn't facing arrest.
