Oh this is cool, I had high hopes for Vega. Now we can have a real marine.

Fair enough didymos. But their are other sr1's, its a ship class isent it? But I get what you mean. yes its not the same sr1. Im just nit picking i guess.

Im not sure if that is a class designation, or a ship designation. but mind you, in most modern warships the ship type has the same name as the first ship in its series. So im guessing it is a class designation. who knows.

PS: It could be a decoy

The class would be "Normandy-class", per the in-game news about the SSV Ain Jalut. SR-1 is a hull number. 'SR' refers to the type of duty it's intended for:  Stealth Reconaissance.  The '1' designates that it is the first of that type.  Look at US aircraft carriers, for instance: the USS Ronald Reagan is a Nimitz-class carrier with the hull number 'CVN-76' (Carrier Vessel, Nuclear).  No other nuclear carrier has that hull number.

My respect for Vega just rose from next-to-nothing to rather high.

The art is kinda nice... but the.. 'um, "dialogue" ... yeah... that's just... well... awful... sorry, but it was painful to read. Ultra campy (not in the good way) and cheesy and.. well.. just, bad.

Good art though.

But, it's other way around for me.

(I guess we'll have to accept it as Raloi until stated otherwise since there are no current 4-armed races)

OK, for one, we haven't seen every single known species anyway.  For instance, the vorcha didn't appear until ME2, but they've always been around.  For two, nothing says raloi have four arms anyway, nor do we have any reason to expect they would.

Though, Vorcha are only in Terminus System's.

We never went there in ME1, except to Ilos( at lest I think Ilos is in Terminus System's or is just Mu Relay there).

After playing criminal and C-Sec officer so many times, I think my Shepard might have a chance at breaking out of those cuffs..

Anderson: Don't brake those cuffs Shepard.

Shepard: Why shouldn't I?

Anderson: Cause I made EDI to start and loop "It's Friday" song non-stop if you do.

Shepard: You evil bastard.

I just noticed there's a Collector at 4th page in last panel.

Oh and there's a Yagh at 7th page in last panel.

I think the "Yagh" is a Turian. But considering how the comic handles characters in the background, it could be anything, really.

He's a goddam hero in my eyes. Imagine being set upon for no real apparent reason in a hostile environment and being able to take care of yourself. Perfect material for what is to come in ME3.

Straightforward ass kicking.

I was disappointed by more poorly drawn turians, if my non-artistic arse can draw them more accurately there's a problem.

So if ME3 starts a few months after arrival and the Reapers invade during the trial and Shepard was arrested days after arrival what is gonna happen during the few month time span?

Interrogation, interviewing, held in confinement. I'm guessing things along those lines.

Shepard is probably sitting in a cell for most of that time, I reckon. It also gives the rest of the squad the opportunity to "disappear" so we can re-recruit them in ME3.

I'm so used to less-than-ideal art from the ME comics that it doesn't even phase me anymore.  It's just something to laugh at when it gets exceptionally bad.

I agree absolutely with both statements. James fights as Shepard is going to fight in ME3 - outnumbered against an overwhelming aggressor. And he is victorious. He didn't wait for them to finish their threats. He struck first. That's heroic and badass. He just restored my faith in humanity in ME universe.

And it is implied he's got some past crucial to his character for me to discover. And it is implied that he sympathizes with Shepard, and is not afraid to show it. And he never started that fight, but he seems to be enjoying it. He knows when to speak, and when to strike. He's everything I'm looking for in a soldier. Not too holy as to be loathsome, but not an unhinged psychopath like Jack either - perfect balance.

They've done a great job introducing him and endearing him to me in a few pages. I knew nothing about him before, and now I want him on my crew in ME3.

I'm surprised by how many people are admiring Vegas thuggish behaviour here.

I mean let's not forget that while we, the players know Shepard had a damn good reason to blow the Alpha Relay, everyone in universe, bar a handful that have heard Shepards side, just know an enormous atrocity was committed against what were almost entirely civilians.

What Vega did was the equivalent of a man of very obvious Arab descent vandalising a bars TV during a news report talking about 9/11, a matter of days after it happened, because it vilified Osama Bin Laden. And doing so infront of a group he knew to be made up largely of Americans, who'd been happy enough to peacefully play cards with him moments before hand.

Again, we know Shepards, well, not innocent as such, but didn't deliberately just kill those people, but no one else does.

Between the enourmous amount of insensitivity to a bunch of otherwise friendly enough people, and apparent inability to understand the concept of an off switch, I'm assumimg Vega is special forces, more for the other meaning of 'special'.
