Alright it seems someone on the Escapist isn't a big fan of Bioware romances, well, the female ones at least...

Now what do you guys think?  While I believe the thread is joking in conceot it's still worth a good debate (if only for the laughs).

I prefer many of the male LI's over the female LI's in ME myself...If I had a femShep, she wouldn't be single and I would feel spoiled for choice...Who to bonk?...Kaidan, Garrus, Thane?...I would need to make three femSheps to keep me happy.....Alas though, my manShep remains single and am hoping that changes for him in ME3.

But that's just me...everyone has their own preferences.

If you want to pick one of the available options, then you do - and this works both ways

I think it's more of a 'the grass is greener on the other side' debate. Bioware has made some mistakes with assuming X is what females want, but plenty of guys argue against the female romances too. I think at the end of the day, there's only so much romance you can put into three or so acts. They're all fundamentally flawed, but once you look past that, you can usually find something bearable. Or just...don't do a romance subplot? I didn't do any of the romances in DA2.

Romance is sort of like the icing on a cake. It's nice, but I wouldn't agonize over it.

Edit: I mean, don't even get me started on the kinds of tropes Morrigan, Miranda, Jack and Tali follow. They're just as troperific as the male LIs.

Jacob is okay.  I have one femShep that left Kaidan for him.  Sorry, Kaidan, but your message wasn't enough to stop that femShep from moving on. 

I've romanced everyone at least one.  Some I created new a different Shepard to be with them, while for others I did not.

edit: Anyone who thinks the real reason they made Femshep a potential lesbian right from ME1 was just an excuse for guys to see girl-on-girl, raise your hand!
