Going through ME1 with a renegade Shepard. Just wondering if I should do the Noveria quarantine quest (making a cure for Dr. Cohen) given that you only get paragon points? I don't want paragon, so are there any way to get renegade instead?
I hate it when I have to skip missions because of that sort of thing.

In ME1, paragon points do not in any way compromise or penalize your renegadeness. If you want to do the quest, do the quest, it won't hurt you or limit your renegade options later on or have any effect on your renegade endgame.

If you want to be pure paragon, then yes, skip it, but otherwise, just go straight through the restricted area. All the guards will turn on you and I believe you can get renegade points for killing them. HOWEVER... this route will NOT give you as many experience points! To get max experience points, do the cure, then go in the back way and out through the restricted area (so all the guards turn on you), and THEN go find Benezia/go to the Hot Labs.
However, Quething is right, getting paragon points won't take away renegade points. But if you're trying to avoid any paragon points at all, then yeah, take the alternate route.
