So I've been dealing with a problem that looks like this:

As you can see, a lot of the sub-windows are being cut off. Unfortuneately, this is not restricted to the NWN toolset. I've been trying to work with the SET Editor and it has the same problem of important information (and buttons) being cut off. The worst part is that I can't resize the windows/subwindows, and maximizing the main window just alters the sub-windows to be larger without fixing the overlap/spillover.

I'm running Windows 7 on an Alienware Laptop, if that's important. I think it is, because my old XP and Vista computers ran these kind of programs just fine.

are you running at the laptops default resolution? No font size adjustments?

I know I have issues if I attempt to adjust system font size and then some programs will start having issues with window sizes.

I haven't manually (and/or wittingly) adjusted the font size for my computer. It may be a resolution problem, but I usually try to set it back to default whenever a program (like a game) changes it.

Eh, nevermind. It turns out that my computer was resizing text to 125% by default. It's harder to see now that I switched it down to 100%, but it solved all my problems with the wierd windows. Thanks for the help, Bannor.

Heh... side comment... 'getting old?' lol. I never used to need large fonts either, but once I passed a certain age, long ago, my eyes are no longer good at small stuff. I used to have no problem at all with a 6 point font, (which is the smallest you can create and still have definition on the letters). Now though, I use those cheap glasses you get from a drug store for $5 for the close up work... oh, and that is WITH larger font sizes... ;(

My eyes suck now, and I'm young. You're going to give me nightmares.... Image IPB

I think it's the resolution I have on my laptop. It's three or four years ahead of what I've been using until recently, so the whole "higher detail, smaller image" thing is not what I'm used to.
