Alright.  I downloaded Mass Effect: Genesis today, and after I fired up the game I downloaded a pair of the Dr. Pepper promo DLC helmets.

When I go to the armory on the ship though, they're not appearing.  Is it because I didn't restart the game first or something?  I haven't gone back to it since that happened tonight.

And, where can I find and use Genesis?  I'm having trouble with that, I can't seem to access it anywhere.

Help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Helmets aren't in the armory. You access them by going to the Captain's Quarters and using the armor locker.

Genesis activates only when you start a new game where you don't import from ME1.

Sorry, I meant the armor locker, not armory.

So, no matter what when you start a new game, Genesis kicks in before the main opening cutscene no matter what, if it's not an import?

That essentially seems to be what Janus is informing you.

I do recall one user reporting that Genesis started on an imported Shepard in a new game plus, when it shouldn't have. A bit beside the point.

Gotcha, thanks. I downloaded it but never saw anywhere how to access it or anything.

However, with the special DLC helmets, will those appear the next time I start up the game, since I had downloaded them while the game was running?

No, you should be able to access weapon and armor DLC in the middle of a playthrough.

You should check to make sure that you've actually downloaded them. Start the game up and at the title screen select DLC, scroll through the list and find the Dr. Pepper items, and then redownload them from there.

I had the same problem with Sentry Visor and Normandy Crash Site not showing up. Restarting the game fixed the issue. Now back to playing more ME2!
