uhh, The Witcher 2 dethroned bioware in a lot more than just the romance department. I felt absolutely embarrassed for bioware after playing TW2. Can't wait for patch 2.0 in a couple weeks to replay it with all that free new content.

And anyone who says the scene was shallow, then you should probably play both games to get to know the characters first. Any romance scene seems shallow if you aren't familiar with the participants.

The thing that bugs me about Witcher 2 is not because of nekkid women. It's the lack of nekkid men. Where are the man bits? It's not there because straight men dislike nekkid men. Gay men and the straight females will not get to see dem sexy man bits.

This whole thread shows the desire to only see the female characters of Mass Effect completely nekkid. Yet of course, no desire to see any of the guys.

If they are going to make the womenz nekkids, I better get to see all the guys nekkid, especially if Garrus really has a claw hammer for a penis.

I didn't say the scene was shallow, I said the romance (as in the interactions between the characters) seems shallow from what I've seen.

       Yeah I admitt the porno was too much in the end the first part of her jumping in the pool-making out was all that they needed to make a good "romance". I wanted to watch half of it, to not "spoil" it but my frined she insisted to have me watch the whole thing.

First I want to thank you at least giving me a mature response. The RPG storyline looks good excluding romances. I was debating to get Witcher 2 or DA 2 but Witcher 2 grahpics are amazing and RPG does look good on it. Enviroment, and even people react with your actions which I think is amazing. What you mean new content, more to the storyline?

I wasn't buying the game based on Romances, its on bottom of my list. She showed me the link of it comparing how lame Mass Effect romances are to Witcher 2. I decided to make a thread about instead I get immature responses like the one below.

It's because the hero can't have a small penis, but the assumption is that a significant portion of male players do have small penises. I recall after Watchmen came out guys talking about how they didn't want to see Manhattan's blue dick. Now, that dudes penis was small and it should have been... it was flacid the whole time. I presume that most men have ridiculously small penises and showing a normal sized penis would make them self conscious. As we live in a male dominated society the "rulers'" insecurities prevail. We live in a world where Ron Jeremy's little ****** is supposedly big. Tommy Lee is average at best.

You can have an excellent romance scene and not even show any sex and have it be full of passion.  To me, passion is the key.  Not naked bodies.

Let the screen go black and let my imagination run wild.  Sometimes that's better than seeing it in game.

This is just my view.  But I think the scene with Liara in ME2 DLC is has more emotion and passion between Liara and Shepard than the scene between Miranda and Shepard even though we see Miranda in only her bra.  That to me seem more like a quicky in the engine room.  Where's Liara seems to actually be in love with Shepard and her emotions show that.  Miranda not so much.

Any in game romance you put yourself(feelings emotions) into Shep/Liara ect.If you don't feel as strong about the relationship (Shep/Miri) it might be just silly and just a quicky porn.Need a control panel or something at the bigining.Get tired of buying M rated games an getting teen content.

Jack's romance is better than anything in The Witcher 2.

That's all I'm going to say. I originally didn't even like Jack all that much until I actually did her romance as my main one, now after Ashley, she's my favourite LI.. but she has the best romance imo.

This^ so much. I nice touching scene or even a well made kissing scene fading to black is the best for me. My imagination can do just fine after that; that is what role playing is really about anyway, IMO.

Oh don't get me wrong, I do agree that if you're going to make the scenes make them good. Granny panties humping in DAO was awful. And a well done sex scene DOES add to the enjoyment.

I haven't played a game with a more touching/realistic/emotional romance than the one with triss. But that's sort of to be expected. She is the only real romance option that carries over into each game. So naturally she's going to be very well developed. Bioware games give you more choices, but those choices on average are not very deep comparitevely.

Neither way is better than the other, unless triss really clicks with you. This thread is really off topic though.
