Ugh. Witcher 2 love scenes? No thanks. Just go back to ME1 please. classy, sensual and mature.
Visually speaking The Witcher 2 destroys everything BioWare has ever produced. That bath scene is gorgeous to look at not only because of the characters but also due to the fantastic environments. Shagging the captain in some drab room with dimmed lights just doesn't compare. In fact, I always found those scenes exceedingly sleazy.
Yes because ME1's build up and dialogue was destroyed by the Witcher's dull barbie doll flat faces.
If anything Biowares titles have more barbie doll faces than WItchers by a truly long way.
You must be joking. I'm not gonna lie and say BW's faces don't hit uncanny valley because by ra they do (hellooo Miranda!) but worse than the Witcher? No way in hell.
I doubt you even played it in fact i would bet money on it given how wrong your response is.
QFT out your arse.

Actually I played the first 10 minutes but got so annoyed at the faces (and that dragon raping me) that I quit. And Geralt's voice actor is terrible. I like Meer's voice acting and I was just like "" at Geralt's made the game unplayable to me. Not to mention they somehow fumbled paraphrasing more than BW. Now that was a feat.
And I can find plenty of emotional ME2 faces if I really needed to. A screenshot tells very little.

I think it was silly yes. Uncharacteristic of hourayforiceecream, but silly nonetheless.
Roche commenting on Triss' ass in a comedic fashion = the entire being misogynist, is silly.

Yeah, duh, Sucker Punch ISN'T female empowerment. The main character is lobotomized for helping another girl escape from an asylum, and her "dream world" experiences degrade them even more. Whatever "statement" you think Zack Snyder was trying to make is, I believe, all in your head. I don't think he thought it through that far. It think he just thought it was "hot". The characters are pathetically one-dimensional, and EVERY female in it is a victim of a man in some way, and the only one who escapes is rescued by yet ANOTHER man. So is this some kind of deep-stealth skewering satire? I don't think so.MerinTB wrote...

and the whole thing comes across like something Zack Snyder would imagine as "female empowerment" à la Sucker Punch.
Sucker Punch is not female empowerment. It's a statement on the exact kind of exploitation of women in "male dominated entertainment media" that you are attacking here.
Some people read some bad reviews of that film and it's become something of a generally accepted reality that the film was trying to be "female empowerment" when it's the farthest thing from.
sorry, I loved Sucker Punch and I, for one, got what Zack Snyder was trying to do - your mileage of course may vary
Did you watch it, or just read reviews? I'm not going to make assumptions one way or the other. But either you didn't watch it OR you didn't watch it attentively enough OR your comprehension skills are poor. Because all the bolded parts are demonstrably wrong. Your opinionated conjecture are, IMO, quite wrongheaded but stuff like "one-dimensional" could be a matter of opinion so I won't argue that.
Have you read interviews with Snyder where he talks about what he wrote and why? Or interviews with anyone who worked on the film? Or even watched it all the way through?
Or is it just an easy target, one that you can pull out for a quick, easy joke?
I'm confident in my ability to understand story and context. Beyond that, I've got from the horse's mouth what he intended.
You have conjecture. And an agenda.
You'll forgive me if I find myself no longer wanting to listen to your... opinions.

Oh dear. My usage of the "can't deny" phrase has made me start imagining a "I Like Big Nugs And I Cannot Lie" song.
And then they ****ed it up with the fixed unlikeable protagonist. Plotwise, I would genuinely like to play this, and I admit to a certain amount of bitterness about its other flaws that would prevent me from doing so.KnightofPhoenix wrote...

As....fascinating as that would be, I'd rather not.
You want a counter example?
Madame Margot, the head of the brothel ends up aiding the Scoia'Tael, potentially committing suicide out of despair and in her notes she said she did that because the men of her city behaved like rabid inhuman dogs that would mistreat her and her girls and treat them like animals. She sided against her race, with mass mudering terrorists, because she couldn't take being abused like that.
That is infinitely more powerful than having Geralt compliment Roche's ass, to please some people.

His response to that post of mine further proved my point. It's sad that some people think nudity equals a mature romance. Not saying it can't but that probably wouldn't be the case in Mass Effect 3.TheShogunOfHarlem wrote...

This isn't the first post and I doubt it will the last referencing The Witcher 2's over the top sex scenes. Softcore Showtime porn in Mass Effect 3 have no place. If the OP want all that wait until 2am and watch Showtime.
And I'm no prude!!
