Is there a way to fix Conrad Verner in Mass Effect 2 without resorting to edittors? Things like that (and for that matter the result of UNC: Besieged Base in Mass Effect) or is the hostile Conrad intended, even if you were Paragon to him in Mass Effect?

The Renegade version is sort of intended. The problem is that ME1 screwed up the plot flags, which they apparently didn't notice until it was way too late. So, basically, they had to pick one since they had no way of knowing which one we chose, and they chose the Renegade version. Personally, I think they should have just added another question to the shuttle ride with Miranda and Jacob about Conrad, even it would have seemed a little odd, but they didn't.
The Beseiged Base one also can't be fixed by us at all, because the variable is actually set correctly in the save and its some script in the game files is playing the wrong audio file.

Thought as much. Thanks for the info. ME2 is the best game I have played in a long time, but it's like things like that that make it great as opposed to an all-time classic.
