The VS and Liara are from ME1. Garrus and Tali were in both games. So who's going to represent ME2 on the ME3 squad?
Possible candidates:
Legion
Mordin
Miranda
Grunt
Miranda's the lead NPC of ME2, with ties to enemy Cerberus. Legion, Mordin, and Grunt are well liked, with very little hate and ties to major factions.
So who's representing ME2?

I don't think. I love Legion and Grunt, but they won't be in the party..... i think (miranda and mordin too)

Miranda and Legion. Legion mostly because he only became available towards the end of the game. To actually get to "know" it would mean playing DLC/assignments post-SM. Miranda because she has the most story potential out of every ME2 squadmate.

Garrus and Tali most likely because they have been confirmed and maybe Legion too.

I think that Legion, Grunt, and Mordin will have some important parts in ME3 if they survived in ME2...

Personally, I want to see Miranda back in the squad, she was one of my favourite new characters in ME2. She's got a lot of potential in ME3, what with Cerberus being an enemy.
Hopefully Legion will be back too, it was frankly criminal in ME2 effectively forcing you to recruit him right at the end of the game. It severely cut his screen time and development, unless you leave playing some missions until after the SM.

Garrus and Tali are in both games. I think she's talking about ME2 exclusive squad members.

None of them, at least permanently. Some could be temporary companions.
It's rather difficult to become an integral part of the ME3 squad when you could've died in ME2.

As could Garrus and Tali. Tali's downright fragile. There goes that excuse.

The others don't have the same degree of popularity to justify the fan pandering like Tali and Garrus "eternal sidekick" Vakarian do.

Seriously I wonder what happens if you import a save with Garrus dying in the suicide mission? Kinda makes you wonder how "permanent" of a squad member he is supposed to be in ME3.

Garrus is my only fav with a garrenteed strong return in ME3...I like Kaidan too...but I am really hoping BW doesn't fill up even more squad spaces with semi permanent returns as it could only mean a lot less time with the squaddies I do want back....I'm still hoping that just possibly BW is able to swing in that we are able to build our own permanent squads or failing that at least to give them all equal rotation.....Would prefer the former myself....
...by the same token, OP does mention Legion...
....No please to the others...
...sorry...

It's not like there is some kind of obligation for there to be a squadmate that specifically "represents ME2". We are already getting Garrus and Tali. They were there in ME2, they know what happened and they'll surely talk about it with Shepard and each other to some degree in ME3.
The ME2 squadmates who won't be rejoining the team will still return in one way or another. I don't see how not being on the team doesn't allow them to "represent ME2".
