Because even if he never met an Asari in person on Palaven, his species and the asari have been around each other long enough for him to see them on some advertisement or news vid on his home planet. So at least the information of the purpose of those "funny bumps" would be available.
Apparently, he never paid attention to the health class vids....

I want an opportunity to point out to the groundskeeper that he indeed does enjoy dancing and to ask if he would impart this knowledge onto Shepard. Because we all know Shepard could use a few dance lessons.

That funny bump line is still considered "canon" by many a fan, however, and I do hope the devs take it into account when designing FemTurians.

I don't think any dance lessons would help Shepard's dancing ablilty any.

True. Sadly it seems like Shepards dancing skills are as good as his/her driving skills.

The latest comics seem to imply femturs have dem funny bumps as well.
