and if there is a magic cure in ME3 I'll go back to the SM and kill him there just so I can avoid that loss of his character.

How does this have anything to do with CoD?
Seriously, get over the pointless fanboish hate of CoD...

Or there is no cure and thane dies like planned. Seriously, people need to drop this cure crap. He has an incurable disease. It shouldn't be cured by a magic hand just because people like him.
I agree and disagree, to a point. I don't think Thane should be cured aswell, but I do think he should have treatments to prolong his death from the one year prognosis to something longer. Maybe three, five years. Partly because I want to see him up and moving come ME3, and partly because I will cry like a little girl if my Shepard doesn't get a bit more time with him before his passing.

I think Thane dieing would be a twist. I mean, we're all expecting to find a magical cure right?
No. It wouldn't be a twist if he dies because I expect him to die from his disease. If he gets cured I'll lose faith in the Bioware writers.

I don't even think there should be a treatment. People that romanced Thane and like Thane knew going in that he didn't have long to live. If you can't handle his one year life expectancy then you shouldn't have gotten involved with him in the first place.

I expect him to be cured, it's something bioware would do.

It's something they shouldn't do. I don't expect them to cure him, because if they did then his character would be a total waste. Don't worry if they cure him in ME3 like I said, I'll go back in ME2 and kill him.

I completely agree. If there is no cure during me 2 why would a cure be found in the middle of a war with the reapers? I mean cure for a diseases is the last thing on your mind when facing extermination of an entire galaxy even for shepard. Also, a little bit of trangety is good for a story and gives some variaty to the romance story lines. I maybe missing something but isn't the fact that he is dying and the way he deals with it one of the main attraction to the character? Besides one of the greatest romance stories ended with both partners dying. And finaly, THATS LIFE. YOU DONT ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU WANT!!!

There are treatments, though. In LotSB DLC, it even says so in his dossier that he's a viable subject for treatments but that he turned them down so he could carry on to take down the Collectors. From what I understand - which is admittedly little - ME3 will take place a year or so after ME2, so he could receive treatment during that time. Otherwise, he'd probably be dead before ME3 even begins and I think that would be unfortunate from a writing perspective.
I'm not saying he should be cured, but treatments for Kepral's syndrome do exist in the ME universe, so it isn't that farfetched that Thane would receive them before the events of ME3 if only so he could keep on fighting a bit longer.

I am fully expecting him to be dead before ME3 even begins and someone makes a referance to him being dead. If he's not and ME3 is about a year later I'll be disappointed.
