Highly unlikely. I'm not sure it will even be nominated. I liked the game, but I wouldn't vote it game of the year for sure. There are plenty of other great games out this year, and plenty more epic contenders still left to come out. It won't win even if by some chance it gets nominated.

It's only September, isn't it a little early to be naming the game of the year?
I've gotten a lot of joy out of DA2 but I very much doubt it will considering the games it will be up against that are being released between now and the end of the year.

Yes, it did in fact win Game of the Year. I remember it like it was yesterday.

It also won RPG of the Decade, Best Canadian Game Ever Made, and the Stone Troll award.

Best Cash-in
Biggest Disappointment (let's face it, no one thought Duke Nukem was gonna be good)
Best Box Art
and possibly Best loading times

it won't win anything else:

Best Story? Nope
Best Graphics? HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA- No
Best Writing and Dialogue? Nuh-uh
Best Voice Acting? with Deus Ex and Uncharted 3? no.
Best Console or PC game? don't make me laugh.
Best RPG? the question was already answered when i said "RPG"

You have got to be kidding, deus ex had awful voice acting.

Yeah I wasn't a big fan of Deus Ex voice acting. I think DA2 had really good voice actors. I think it's a bit much if people deny that but as to give them GOTY. To be honest, nope. There were way too many issues although I enjoyed it a lot~

I Disagree.
While there is some weird VA here and there, i think DX had great voice acting, Pritchard was great for the most part(wih a few weak spots here and there), Malik overall did it good and the moment *BIG SPOILERS* died, i thought she was pretty good, even though there wasn't an actual scene*END OF SPOILERS*, and Sarif was awesome, imo anyway.
Aaaand yes, i do actually like Jensen's Raspy voice.

i never DA2's voice acting Wasn't good, i simply think there are already games with Better VA this year, and Uncharted 3 is sure to have an incredible VA (Like U2 did).
but that's just my opinion.

Oh I didn't mean you in particular. I have seen this brought up a couple of times before which is why I mentioned it but I also agree there are other games with great VA this year. From Deus Ex, I think the one I enjoyed the most was Jensen, I thought everyone else fell short. Whereas in DA2 I thought mostly everyone across the board was pretty good.

Probably not. It might get nominated by a few websites and small competitions but none of the major ones.

I'm not saying it was a terrible game, I thought it was a decent and enjoyable experience but besides Duke Nukem Forever its probably the biggest disappointment of the year so far.

I think that Deus Ex HR, Portal 2 or Skyrim will be the main nominees for GOTY, along with possibly some other upcoming games that I don't know about/have forgotten.
