I think you're confusing the word 'joke' with 'truth', like the truth that DA II IS better than Origins or that it IS worthy of being nominated as the GOTY or that it IS one of the better games released this decade. All totally 100% truth.

i have never seen so much truth in a Single phrase.

it's true, any (big) gaming magazine suffered credibilty hits for praising this game (*Cough*PC Gamer*Cough), and if they nominate it for anything, well, they can say good bye to their reputations (at least in a big chunk of the community).
The only way that they'll keep is if they exclude the game's existance altogether.

I don't see how nominating a great game like DA II for GOTY would hurt anyone's crediblity.
