Mr. Badass is what some would call him....either because of the fact that he likes to shotgun people's ffaces off when they question/challenge him or because enemies don't last very long when nailed with his biotic charge. He spared the rachni, saved the counsil, but killed the colonists on Feros in ME 1 .


ME 2... he was cordial to the TIM until the Horizon fiasco...and despised Cereberus n everything they stood for after the collector ship mission...he then delivered the final shaft to TIM by nuking the collector base and taking his away his best operative Miranda (whom he has fallen head over heels in love with).

Heinsoo is a bit of a jackass who tends to lean towards renegade in his day-to-day conversations. He's got a dry and sarcastic sense of humour, tends to be a bit xenophobic, but has a good heart and is willing to learn from his mistakes (of which he makes plenty). Major decisions lean towards paragon.

He decided to free the Rachni Queen, finding himself unwilling to make the decision to commit an entire genocide. On Virmire, however, he grew incredibly impatient with Wrex, feeling the Krogan were far too much of a threat to be cured. Though he tried to talk Wrex down, Ashley shot and killed him. Kaidan then sacrificed himself to detonate the complex. During the battle of the citadel, Heinsoo refused to sacrifice any more members of the Alliance than needed to be, and thus the Council was killed. Udina was recommended as the Human councilor - mainly because Heinsoo had too much respect for Anderson to force him into that position.

In ME2, he had no initial objections to working with Cerberus, appreciating their initiative in terms of getting the job done, even willingly giving Legion over to them for research purposes. He began a relationship with Miranda, which ground to a hault while investigating Pragia and realizing what Cerberus did to Jack. Heinsoo fell for Jack, and things became very bitter between him and Miranda. Shepard slowly became more and more of a loose canon in Cerberus' book, until finally - having lost his closest non-Human friend (Garrus) in the Collector Base Assault, he refused to hand it over to Cerberus, and blew it to smithereens. He then bluntly told the Illusive Man where he could shove it, and quit. Miranda was also killed in the assault - though I like to think she did something heroic in the end, such as helped Jacob and the others get to safety.

I have two canons and in the process of picking which one to import first.

I chose Colonist because I hadn't used it before and I like the options it had for role-playing. War Hero came with the 'redemption' story I had in mind for Isaac. He blamed himself for losing his family and is dedicated to protecting innocents. 

I picked infiltrator because it's quiet, independent, and deadly. All those things are qualities of Isaac. He gets the job done quick and easy. 

Losing your entire colony could turn you Ruthless, but it just made Isaac more determined to fight for the good of everyone. Not to mention I can never be Renegade even if I try. Though I do use a fair share of renegade interupts, and if I disagree with the Paragon line then I'll throw in some Renegade. 

In ME1 Isaac was dedicated to the mission. He knew that the Reapers posed a threat to everyone and he was dedicated to stopping them. Ashley was a headstrong, beautiful and she liked poetry. It was wasy for him to fall for her. After Horizon, Shep felt like they had moved on. Jack intrigued him and after hearing about her past he fell in love with her. He knew she needed someone to trust, and he intends to be that person. He is loyal to Jack.

I wanted and Earthborn Shep because I knew we were going to Earth in ME3. I like the idea of the Alliance taking her in which is why Charlie is an Alliance soldier through and through. She's a war hero because of her courage and dedication. I think War Hero qualifies her for being a Spectre. 

I hadn't played Sentinel before and I wanted to try it. It ended up being perfect for Charlie. She only uses Chotguns so she plays offense and defense. It turned about to be an awesome class.

Charlie tries to do everything right, for the greater good. She's a strong believed in the acceptance of all races. But her loyalties still lie with humans. 

I fell for Kaidan at the same time Charlie did  In the past I had been pretty indifferent about him, but now I love him. Charlie has never felt so strongly about someone, and she trusts him completely. After Horizon, it hurt. But even though she felt like she was betraying the Alliance, she knew she had to work with Cerberus to save the humans. She never moved on from Kaidan and hopes that he feels the same way.

The name "Marc-Antoine" came about in an interesting fashion. First off, when I entered a first name I couldn't think of anything, so I just mashed the spacebar a few times an hit okay. When importing that Shep in ME2, it temporarily renames it to Marc-Antoine. Whether by chance or not, Marc-Antoine just so happens to be the name of two BioWare team members:
Marc-Antoine Matton, the Senior cinematics animator at Bioware for Mass Effect 2 DLC, Mass Effect 2 Arrival DLC, and Mass Effect 3, the Cinematics animator for Mass Effect 2, and a basic animator for Mass Effect 1, Dragon Age, and (believe it or not) Deus Ex 3.
The other one is Marc-Antoine Hamelin, Senior Environment Artist for Mass Effect 3 and Mass Effect 2 Arrival DLC, Driver 5, Splinter Cell Conviction and it's Insurgency Map Pack, an Intructor at Centre NAD, an environment artist for Army of Two and Army of Two: TFD, and a lead artist of AoT Veteran Map Pack.
It should be noted that the character limit (at least for the Xbox version) is one less than the number of characters in this name, so using the method above, you can essentially get one more character in your first name than you can with others.

I chose Space because it's just something that fits with me. Earth is boring to me, and although Colonist is far more interesting than Earth, it is still a more known factor than space.

Something the Sole Survivor was one that clicked with me too. I didn't want to already be a hero (War Hero) and I knew that a Ruthless background was completely against my own morality, and something about the tragic past that leads to a greater future is intriguing to me.

ME1 felt like the only time that I could truly be full Paragon. In ME2, it was much more likely that I would use medium or Renegade options. Still, for important choices, I am still fully Paragon.

I'll leave the LI topic for the last paragraph as that is a long one.

Shepard owes a minor affiliation to the N7 elite and the SPECTRE core, but above all he believes in the pursuit and protection of life.

All those he has fought with, side by side, on the front line. Those are his brethren. He will go to great lengths to protect and help them, but he expects full commitment from them. So far, none has broken that unspoken pact.

Now for the LI topic. Shepard lost so many of his friends and allies on Akuze that he barred himself from any strong emotional connection to anyone. Throughout ME1 he maintained a strong friendship with all his crew, but nothing ever became romantic.
But.
Dying changes a man. It gives you a new perspective on life, it's fragility, how short it is. But also how amazing it is. He was granted a new go at life, by vowed enemies yes, but nonetheless, he was given a chance to reshape himself into something greater. From his perspective, there is no other set of arms more deserving that those of Tali. It nearly happened with Jack, but her attitude resulted in a somewhat sour relationship between them. Tali (and Garrus) are the only two who have been there for him throughout their time together no matter what pain and suffering they experienced.

In his first 16 years of life John was content to follow in his parents' footsteps and become a farmer on the human colony world Mindoir. All that changed however when Batarian slavers killed all he knew and left him clinging to life only to be saved by Alliance soldiers.

I think the colonist and war hero background fit really well together. I like to imagine the Skyllian Blitz as the moment John finally overcame his past traumas by defending Elysium from the fate that befell his homeworld of Mindoir. From the time he was saved by Alliance marines on Mindoir, John promised himself to do whatever he could to prevent similar atrocities from occurring in the future. Elysium was first proof that John will always follow through on this promise.

John is very loyal to the Alliance dating back to its rescue of him on Mindoir. He is also loyal to the council and as a Spectre does his best to serve them. However John is not afraid to go against either if it conflicts with his own beliefs and values (sparing the Rachni Queen, Saving the Genophage data, rewriting the Geth). Despite his allegiance to these two factions he has not inherited any prejudice to any other race even the Batarians who attacked who Mindoir and were largely responsible for Elysium. He also reserved judgement on the Geth even during the events of ME1 and after meeting Legion his suspicions were confirmed (not all Geth wished harm on organics, in fact, those Geth were a tiny fraction).

During the events on Virmire John chose Kaidan Alenko to arm the bomb trusting his Lt. with this task above Ashley Williams. After Geth reinforcements arrived and no guarantee that they could repel them, John made his toughest decison to date, to follow his friend's recemmendation and leave with Ashley Williams. This decison still haunts Shepard to this day.

John is strictly a soldier. He lacks any biotic power (due to his mother never being exposed to eezo on Mindoir during pregnancy) and his desire to be at the forefront of any fight to take the brunt of fire for the sake of his allies made being commando soldier a natural fit.

To date Shepard has not romanced anyone. He has always remained completely focused on the safety and preservation of the galaxy, so much so that he neglects other aspects of his life for better or worse.

I might have gotten a little carried away with this but it was too fun!

Has no idea who her parents are or even if they're still alive. Earliest memories are of living in boxes and old apartments with a group of other orphans. Eventually fell in with the Reds for survivability instead of a life of crime.

Made the best of a bad situation in the slums of Earth. Joined the Alliance to do something better with her life. Freaked out when underwent biotic training, saw herself as a 'freak' wasn't reassured much by the new reliable L3 implants at first.

Respects Council and Alliance authority, sort of a naive girl at first. Akuze burned the last of her innoence away. Despite what the vids and press say, Teddy knows fear kept her from dying on Akuze, has suffered from PTSD from it.

In ME1 kept the paragon path. Saved the Rachni Queen, Wrex, Captain Kirrahe. Hated herself for getting Ash killed. More guilt. Rescued Feros, Shiala, was nice to Conrad. Felt a sense of accomplishment when she rescued the Council, heck she even tried to help Saren!

She hates losing people. She trusts her crew and teammates because they're the ones in the pit with her. Her life on the battlefield is in their hands, as theirs are in hers. Sees Anderson as the father figure she never had. Fell in love with Kaidan, both being biotic and for his sensitive nature. Loves the strong but gentle type.

Views Liara, Wrex, Tali, and Garrus as her closest non human friends. Views Joker, Chakwas, Anderson, Miranda, even Jacob as her closest of her new teammates. Tries (and probably fails) to be a mentor to Jack, views Kelly as dear friend, as well as the rest of the ME2 crew. Trusts EDI like she trusts Joker, regards the AI as a good friend.

Hasn't really thought about her death. Prefers coma in her mind instead of dead. Will think about the missing two years later. Much, much later.

Made sure to help all of her squaddies put aside their issues. Wanted to personally shoot Ronald Taylor but didn't, and really wants a one on one with Mr. Lawson. Relieved that Garrus doesn't hate her for not letting him shoot Sidonis. Will work with Mordin to chase any leads for the genophage cure with the data they kept. Hopes Liara can use her SB network to help Thane.

Definitely willing and ready to work with Tali and Legion to finish the Quarian-Geth conflict once and for all. Hopes they'll be the new leaders of their respective peoples someday.

Getting all of her crew and squad out in the Collector Base mission was her proudest moment. It was the start of healing for Eden Prime, Akuze, and Virmire amongst other numerous losses.

Helped Liara in LOTSB, will check up on her friend frequently. The events of Arrival however once again shattered her carefully built walls and sent her down into a deep depression. Willingly turned herself over to Alliance justice, where she languishes in a cell...by this point, Teddy is at her lowest level yet.

She fights for everyone in the galaxy. Humans, asari, krogans, quarians, even batarians and geth. No one is safe from the Reapers, and she intends to survive the war and save as many people as possible.

John Shepard always tries to do what he judges to be right and attempts to save all the lives he can to avoid the pain of enduring a loss like Akuze again. Since his revival he faces an incredible sense of frustration at the state of the galaxy since his death and feels helpless in preparing for the Reaper threat when the Council and Alliance dismiss it as a rumor. John isn't as patient with others as he used to be and is prone to outbursts of rage and anger.

Grew up an orphan on Earth, living on the streets, learned to sneak, steal and talk her way out of any situation in order to survive. Enlisted underage at 15 with a forged ID and never looked back. The Alliance gave her a sniper rifle and a cloak and she quickly worked her way up the ranks. Troubled by survivors guilt after Akuze.
Really connects with Garrus in ME2, though they were good friends before her death. Shephard shares Garrus' eye for an eye mentality, and they are pretty much two of a kind, though she is the calmer of the two. She keeps him grounded, while he gives her something to fight for.

She prefers to look at the big picture. She knows that saving the Council was better for the galaxy as a whole, despite the heavy human casualties. Her deep mistrust of Cerberus (due to their xenophobic inclinations) led her to blow up the Collectors base, rather than let that technology get into the hands of a potential enemy.

Her persuasive words convinced Wrex to stand down at Virmire, Saren to shoot himself, and she damn well enjoyed punching the reporter. Twice.

She slept with Liara in ME1, but only because she was hurting after letting Kaidan arm the nuke at Virmire and Liara pretty much threw herself at Shepard at a vulnerable moment. Things got a bit awkward while pursuing the Shadow Broker with Liara. Being a damn good information broker, Liara knew something was going on with her and Garrus.

Artemis was proud to follow in her parents footsteps and join the Alliance.  Akuze nearly broke her but she managed to hold onto herself and promised herself that she would never again loose a fellow teammate.  Artemis became completely wrapped up in her career and the N7 program.  She refuses to compromise her values of loyalty, honor and selflessness and will go to any lengths to help her crew.  She is also more than willing to help anyone who is need but do not mess with her crew, she does not like that.  Her death and time with Cereberus did temper her idealism some, but she still believes in the best of the galaxy and is willing to fight for it.  Love was not something she had ever planned on but Liara's inner strength and kindness pulled at her heart in a way nothing else ever has. 
Despite being battered and bruised Artemis will stand and fight the Reapers to the very end for her friends, family and all the galaxy.
