I don't judge him based on appearances but I'd love it if he broke the stereotypes everyone keeps shoving him into, but not with some superficial gimmick like "oh I have an intelligent secret interest in poetry". I'd like him to at least be interesting and not a boring tool like the other human male teammates. Bonus points if he manages to be funny without being a smartass or cheesy dialogue.

I'd like him if he was a Krogan. screw humans squadmates there are too many already in ME3. i'm sure i'll like him tho just not nearly as much as the ME2 crew

Seeing him die moments after we first meet; preferably taking Jacob and Thane with him.

I think that would make me hate him a little less.

I don't hate him, I don't even know him.

The way he was portrayed in comic didn't make him any favors, in fact, it confirmed the stereotype that his looks seems to have.

Because he's a new character that "stole" a spot on the squad from their favorite characters that won't be returning.  Plus, Bioware saying that Vega is "for new players" didn't exactly help his reception.

Maybe if he can cook so he can take Gardner's place as new canteen boy and toilet unblocker. Otherwise we could be in trouble because there's going to be nobody to fix the Normandy's plumbing.

Seriosuly i'll chat to him but given my Shepard now has serious grievances with the Alliance I'm not sure he's someone i'm going to appreciate.

If he actually struck me as a real soldier. High sense of a dark humor, can talk alot of sh*t and does, confident (without needing Shepard) a little bit crazy, and performs like a beast when the heat is on. I don't care what his personal ideas, likes or dislikes, and values are just so long as he has them. If he is just a blank slate spewing out cliche grunt jargon then he will bore me very quickly.

He needs to be able to compliment the team. Someone who helps push the team along as opposed to questioning everything, or making everything about himself. If I can see a true team player then I would be more inclined to bring him along.

After reading the leaked information I was excited about him, and I suppose that's all I can really say on that. He's Hispanic, like me, so I identify well with his culture, and look forward to seeing him in action.

I think that anyone would make my team if they had the dedication and drive, and were willing to give it all to stop the Reapers. It will take a special type of person to run through the fires that we are going to face. If anyone wants to step up, and they have the gusto, then they just might make it.

Seeing that I am not reading any spoiler stuff, I have to say that Vega will be a welcome addition if he's insane enough to volunteer.

I'm firmly staying away from the leaks so I don't really know anything about him yet. I simply hate how he looks and what that look conveys. The comic seemed to confirm my aversion.
