Umm, I've got the game, I've got it registered, I've entered the code, but I still can't download the toolkit. It keeps saying I've got to register it first, which I've already done. Grrrrrr.
Getting the actual toolset

404 error here. This in infuriating, even more so combined with a "social site" that won't even load properly. I'd just like to download the product I've paid $70 for, why is that a problem for a company the size of EA?

I had the same issue with having to register the game. I clicked the register game a couple of times, and it finally took it. I went to the toolset download site. Then I got an error saying I had no profile. Of course I was logged in when I did this, so I went to my profile page. I edited my profile. Went back to the toolset download page (about 3 minutes ago) and the toolset appeared to be ready for download. I clicked the link to download the toolset, drooling with anticipation .... 404 NOT FOUND ..ARRRGGG. This site has been horrible all day. I understand you are in the beta process bioware. I understand changing it all to coincide with the release of the game. At least make sure the errors to the site are minimal before release. This afternoon I tried to create my profile. LOL .. every time I hit enter to save the information I had to resign in to my account. It literally logged me out (or so it appeared) every time I tried to change my profile. This happened 5 saves in a row.
So I can now download the toolset, but I get the 404 not found. I clicked the link multiple times, just to make sure it wasn't a glitch, or something else happening. No luck. Please fix this Bioware.

I have the Digital Download from Steam, it came with 3 Keys, I tried all three, and the 1st time I tried they didn't work.
I finally added dash marks between ever 4 characters, and got the 3rd key to work! hurray, I just figured I'd note that incase others were having the same frustration as I.
G'luck to ya!

Mine is registered too and I'm getting a page cannot be displayed when trying to download. Hopefully it will be up later, but I want to play the game first

When is it going to be available, why not telling this before release? Thx for the info Fester Pot, most propably Bioware staff seems to be too busy fixing etc to actually answer on these boards. Sad sad, on release day.... I hope we can blame EA for all this here in the end

I had thought maybe they had disabled it because of people getting the game before release date. It was unfair enough to some, and since it technically shouldn't have been received by them disabling registration or toolset download was fair. I'm guessing it'll be available sometime after the official release date.

Thx Azenn, that clearly brought some darkness *erm* light into the issue of the toolkit. Sadly, they dont give away any info on the toolkit. Either way, it still looks/sounds like its gonna be released in a couple of days or earlier, otherwise i couldnt imagine a reason for all the silence.
Gn8 guys, tell me when u got the forkes and torches ready, lol.

Seems likely that they ne3ed their bandwidth for the actual game these first few days.

Or rather that's where to get it once the download button stops sending us to 404land.

Well, dude, at the very least, you're probably going to need the art assets, etc. Not to mention a playtesting client...

Why doesn't Bioware update the "Toolset Now Available For Download" image at the link. In fact, how do you even navigate to that download page normally? Is it a menu item somewhere?

Anyone know of a time line they may have this done by? I am dying to figure out how to make the player character a monster.

I would also like to know any ETA on the toolset. Is it a matter of hours, days or weeks? Considering that it is my 10th toolset check in less than 20 hours, I'd say that one quick clarifying post from a Bioware employee would probably decrease the server traffic by half.

That would make sence, register the game so they know you own the game, have it fully installed since it will read the data from the games files that are installed when you install the game. Many if not most game editors work the same way.
I'd really like to get my hands on it sooner rather than later, I have far more fun creating my own little worlds for people to play in than I do playing in Biowares worlds.

As always with anything new there will be teething troubles and a huge demand on the server for the download.
