So the first time I played Arrival I didn't have any problems with it, ran it right through to the end.
This time I am playing it I ran into something I don't know how to get around. When you have Kenson with you in the hangar, you kill all of the guards, blow the gates open and are supposed to board the Kodiak to escape, right? That's what I did last time. This time after all the guards are dead and the gates are open, when I try to board the Kodiak it won't let me--Kenson says "It's too hot in here, take care of the guards" instead, and the music hasn't changed from the active combat music. For some reason it won't let me board after reloading it three separate times; the game still seems to think combat is going on.
Has anyone else run into this? Any ideas?

This happened to me once. Check your radar if you haven't. When it happened to me it turned out one of the guards had morphed half way into a wall or maybe even completely up on the cat walk area above the shuttle. I couldn't see him but eventually I moved around and was able to target him and kill him. Maybe that's what's happening to you?

I have seen this happen, just not on this mission. My recent vanguard mission on horizon:
Horizon Video @10:00 Harbinger gets killed, and nobody is on radar, but the game does not go forward.
Unfortunately you have to reload. If you have already reloaded, then you need to go back to an earlier save. Its been posted that if this happens and you have the missle launcher it will autotarget the "hidden" guy. That is not much help to me because I never use the rocket launcher.
You must really be sick of that Doctor about now

There are several points in Arrival where certain sequences can fail to trigger. Eg: the security hub where you defend Kenson is another spot where this can happen. It's possible that there's a guard or two left that either failed to die 'properly' or got mis-spawned/knocked into some unreachable place. Like ryoldschool said, you'll probably have to restart the mission / reload an earlier save.
