You know what's stupid about this? I wasn't disagreeing with him so him calling me stupid means he was agreeing with Kaiser's original statement which makes him calling it stupid pretty..er...stupid?Aeowyn wrote...

No good things? The game was an underfunded, rushed mess, but saying no good came out of it is not fair.
So anyone who disagrees with you is stupid?

I'm done with Bioware. Sacrificing story or character integrity for the sake of appeasing a handful of fans doesn't sit well with me.
Gift baskets? I haven't been told about this or given one. Thats it I'm leaving just so i can have one

However if they decide to do this no matter what PLEASE leave to the player the possibility to start or better not start the romance. I would be really pissed if Kaidan will try to seduce Shepard in a normal conversations. In DA2 i literally destroyed in-game friendships because they were hitting on Hawke.

Again and again.
Always for the same reasons.
And it's always the pro-s/s lobby that is accused of being whiny and annoyingly pervasive, what with people repeating the ol' "Man, it is not cool for Bioware to compromise their Artistic Vision to appease a handful of particularly loud fans' schtick.
Seems to me that straightfolk have raised about twice as much fuss about there being gay romance and variations on that theme as pro-gayfolk ever raised about there not being such.

What's wrong with Garrus being BI, I'm straight and fine with it. He's still my bro and his sexual preference won't change the way I feel about him or make me see him in a different light. Unless you, the player trigger a certain dialogue (which I hope Bioware makes clear) that leads to that type of relationship, then you either have yourself to blame or Bioware for not making the dialogue tree clear enough to avoid something you wouldn't want. We have yet to see how Bioware will approach this situation, so I wouldn't worry too much about being ninjamanced because I believe Bioware is working hard to make the dialogue tree better.
God, I hope you are right. Anders in particular in DA2 was too far. The game is rated "M" for mature so theoretically no holds barred on the presentation of the game. If BioWare wants to include homosexual/bi releationships then go for it. So long as they don't steamroll over me with it, I have no problems. But I don't want another Anders in ME3 hasseling me for same sex romance when I'm hetero. That was over the line.

Yes, because the NINE times I had to reject women with a maleShep throughout Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 were traumatic. All of them. They steamrolled me!
That was over the line.
Get over it, and get some perspective.

It's hillarious and sad actually. When someone makes a thread that includes a great idea about the gameplay it barely get's any attention. But when someone brings up romances and how he doesn't like charachters being turned into victims of s/s mafia thread basicly explodes. Makes me wonder if Bioware even takes these people seriously.naledgeborn wrote...

Makes me think if s/s fanbase will create another "Fight For The Love" thread and support idea of having sex with children, because they would certainly get away with it.

Well, seems like discussion of this topic is a no no on these forums but only if you disagree with its implementation. That's how I understand the forum rules for this section anyway. Threads like this might not be such of a problem if BioWare kept at least one around instead of brushing dissent under the rug with the looming threat of losing access to your games.
It is a tiring debate though, mostly because it really isn't a debate. There's so much dishonesty and demagoguery of anybody who doesn't want every character to be bisexual. You get called a homophobe for everything here and painted like you hate the idea of any gay characters even if you repeatedly say otherwise - it's pretty disgusting. The issue is constantly getting distorted and the "discussion" just goes around in a circle.
But I'm tired and this is really pointless.

You misconstrue the discussion when you imply that the pro-inclusive party demand that all love interests be bisexual with no room for compromise.
There are plenty who are in favour of the idea, absolutely, and I can't say I see the supposed issue myself, assuming BioWare had gone the distance and done the work properly.
But suggesting that the cause of discord is the differing opinions on this point alone is simply untrue.
- What people find offensive here is the notion that elaborating on characters to portray a wider sexual affinity would somehow make them less legitimate characters.
There was a lot of reductive whining surrounding Dragon Age 2 and its four bisexual romances, as if this was the straw that broke the camel's back, and I know this has caused some degree of wariness and embitterment in myself.
You can only bear read a post which essentially says "four bisexuals in one city? My suspension of disbelief! Why do you falter so?!" so many times.
