I just had a pretty bad mod crash that sent the toolset back to the Dark Ages. When I opened it for the first time after the crash, all of the toolbars and windows had reverted back to "factory" settings. So, I went into the options and set the plugins to all turn on, but when I restarted the toolset, I got a message that the Sin Plugin couldn't load.
My next step was to trash the Sin Plugin, redownload it from the vault, and redrop it into the plugins folder. However, the same message appears. It seems that the toolset has memorized what plugin and the old, crashed mod needed, and won't let it go.
Does anyone have an idea how I can restore it so that I can get the Sin Plugin working again with the old temp files of my mod.
Sin Plugin won't load after mod crash

I read a bit on the Vault about the possibility of a "NWVault hiccup."
So, does anyone have a copy of SinPlugin that they know is working with MotB and SoZ installed that I can access. I find it very difficult to work without it at this point, just from the easy camera standpoint alone...I'm sure I haven't even tapped into the GOOD stuff yet!
From the Vault...
I just tested it in my toolset and it loads just fine, so I don't know why it won't for you. It could be the whole out of sync thing with the NWVault servers that has happened in the past, try redownloading it?

Thanks, but it was still a no-go. I can't figure out WHY it won't work, when it worked fine before the crash. I have to assume that you [kamal_] have your toolset as up-to-date as I have mine. Should I backup my work and reinstall the whole shebang (uuuugggghhh)?

I'm completely up to date (steam install, not that it matters). Are you sure your toolset is set to allow community made plugins? Can you use other plugins?

The toolset definitely is accepting other plugins. What I am getting is a message when the toolset gets to the "loading plugins" portion of its load cycle. The message states: "The following plugins could not be loaded: SinPlugin / Please check with the original author(s) for updates."
I tried performing a NWN2 update to see if maybe the program reverted back to some previous version, but it says I'm up to date. The only other thing I can think is that somewhere stored on the computer is a function that is telling the program that it is a previous version of SinPlugin...however, my computer abilities are quite lame, so I could be sounding pretty foolish right now.

Toolset plugins correctly go in the toolset/plugins folder in the installation folder, not the my documents version of the same. Are you sure you don't have a copy in the my docs/...plugins ?

They are all in "C:\\Program Files\\Atari\\Neverwinter Nights 2\\NWN2Toolset\\Plugins". Nothing in "C:\\Documents and Settings\\MyName\\My Documents\\Neverwinter Nights 2\\NWN2Toolset\\Plugins".

Well, I did figure out that it is something specific-computer/program related. I have a second computer, Computer B, with NWN2 installed to the same point as Computer A. I tried transferring B's SinPlugin.dll to A, but the same problem occurred. However, I transferred the module and "all the fixin's" from A to B, and no problem, the plugin works fine.
I would still like to figure out the issue (if possible), as Computer A is my laptop and allows me to work from anywhere. I guess I could just reinstall on A, though that is always so time consuming. I guess my last question on this topic is: Does the Auto Patcher now work in its entirety, or is there still a lot of "hoop jumping" involved?

Just an update on the SinPlugin problem:
I finally got around to reinstalling NWN2 on my laptop, but the SinPlugin not loading message still comes up. Does anyone have any other info on this? I assume there is a file on the computer somewhere that is keeping this from loading, but I am no expert. The message says to look for an update from the creator, but I have the exact same version of my desktop computer and it works fine there.
Any help would be appreciated...it is such a valuable plugin for me.

I never was able to fix this problem. When I can find the time to do any modding at all, I now only use my desktop. Good luck christinetooley!
