Is Vega a dude, because a majority of us killed Kaidan on Virmire?

Just wondering if more people killed off Kaidan than Ashley?

I played it 6 times and i had Kaidan alive in 4 and Ash in 2, Would Vega had been a girl if it was confirmed that most killed off Ashley?

Will Vega have any Biotic powers, cause thats what i will miss most about Kaidan not being on the squad.

Any thoughts?

Anyway, there is likely to be a leading female character that has not been revealed yet. That has been the norm for all mass effect games. So no Vega has nothing to do with who survived on virmire.
