To be honest, Agamo, this is what I imagine a lot of the opposite side thinks anyway, so your honesty is kind of refreshing.

Then again, you are in the character and romance board, in which topics relating to romance would be logically discussed, so...

Unlike the OP, I'm not going to sugercoat my opinions. I'm NOT supportive of the homosexual "community", and I won't say that I am just to be politically correct, or say that I have gay friends.

I honestly wish that everyone on your side was like you. It'd drastically reduce the chances of your opinions ever getting credence in civilized society upon realizing that this is what it all boils down to.

The majority of the world think the way I do, because they're sane, I'm sorry to tell you.

Homosexuality in Mass Effect 3 is just another attempt by the gay mafia to insert their filthy agenda into our society. I remember when the ME forums actually discussed the game, now there only seem to be threads demanding that male Shepard suck **** in Me3. I've just about had it.

"It's a grand conspiracy by the gay Illuminati to infiltrate our vidya games with queer hypno mind waves that'll turn us all into them people! How the hell am I supposed to resist suckin' James Vega's dick if I'm given the option!? I'm totally straight though! It's mind control, I tell ya!"

Attempting to equate opinions with sexual orientation has never worked before and it won't work now.

Unless you can IP ban God, then no, you're not cool.

Now excuse me.  I have places to go, prayers to answer, civilizations to wipe out, etc.

I realize that, but she still rejects fem-shep anyway. I'm fine with her being a bi-option in Mass Effect 3, I would just like an explanation of that specific comment.

You could say the same bout Tali and Miranda.  They don't give femShep the time of day and their conversations stop at that point.

Shepard comes down to talk.  She's tired of talking which to me is what the girls club comment comes from.

I think there's a huge difference between "I have some work to do, let's talk later?" (Tali & Miranda) and "Go away, I don't feel like talking to you anymore" (Jack).

Which one is crazy?  The other two are quite sane.  Think about that.

What exactly does Jack being crazy have to do with Tali & Miranda?
How exactly are Tali & Miranda "not giving fem Shepard the time of day" when they're still open to talking to Shepard (like every other character besides Jack) and tells Shepard that it's been an honor serving with her?

Do you mean that there are homosexual racists/sexists/transphobics? Well, that's true enough.

I always took Jack's comment to mean "I'm not into all this touchy-feely girly talk **** Shepard." She seems pretty cavalier about whether or not she has a "boyfriend or a girlfriend" so I don't think she is saying "I don't do girls." Uh, Jack ... you already told me you did if that were the case.

But then again, my femShep wasn't hitting on her either ... she was just wanting to chat when Jack shut their dialogue down. That is one of my complaints about the game ... you either romanced or people were calibrating, quitting the girls club, crap.

Yah I see your point.  Again, just the way I view, but I can see that being the case as well.  It's obvious she's done it with women and men, but I see that more of experimenting throughout her wild life.  Either way, I'm fine with her becoming an option for female Shepards.

Hopefully Bioware really nails the friendship route this time around also because that's an annoyance for all the characters, especially if you're not trying to pursue a romance.

Ooh! Let's take a look at things the majority of the world thought were true just over the years shall we?
  • The world is flat
  • The sun revolves around the earth
  • Slavery is a good idea!
  • Jews should be punished for killing the big JC
  • Women are property
  • All a good docter needs is some blood letting equipment
Want more?

No they don't.  They keep saying their busy and any conversations with them are over.  LI give more conversations to the opposite sex than those that are the same sex.

The only ones the talk more than the others are Mordin and Samara.

Actually its the haters like you that are shoving ideas down peoples throats. No one is trying to affect your life with homosexuallity... so why dont you STFU you biggot.

Oh btw I say this as a straight man.

"peaople have the inalienable right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of hapiness" its in the American Constitution... if you live in America and you dont like it.... leave

As rude as he is, he does have a point. BioWare's main-trick pony has shifted with it, as well: story, choice/consequence and continuity now take backseat to these shallow "romances". And it isn't like the other side doesn't have equally rude bigots, either.

Some of the romances are shallow and really add nothing to the game as well. But, IMO, I do think romances should be part of RPGs and if done correctly, can have the PC make choices in the game that have consequences. What makes it the way you say it is, is when they remove player agency from the game when regarding riomances, of which Bioware has done lately and in many cases. As far as the highlighted line, I have yet to see where any of the gay folks I know in here have lobbied against straigthness in the games.

And, once again, the credibility of one side is destroyed by one person acting like a fool, and some on the other side are only too eager to lap it up and ignore any valid points that opposing side has.

I'm not sure if you're saying something wrong or obvious; I decided to give you the benefit of the doubt and go for the latter.

And, once again, the credibility of one side is destroyed by one person acting like a fool, and some on the other side are only too eager to lap it up and ignore any valid points that opposing side has.

The instant someone on the opposite side comes up with a salient point, I'll receive it as such.

Something obvious, although it seems you and with you many others are oblivious to it.

But then there's still the issue of your bias/prejudice preventing that from ever happening.

If I recall correctly one of the major tenets of the Constitution is the explicit right to say whatever the **** I want. I'm not going to conform with this San Fransicko degeneracy, and I'm going to let it be known with God as my witness.

Well hate speech is frowned upon. You have a right to say it... doesnt mean you should. I am not trying to affect the things in society and life that you happen to like / be a part of. I dont like the rodeo... it doesnt mean I am going to speak out against it to try to stop you from getting your head knocked around by the bull you are riding. I dont like NASCAR... I wont speak out angainst it and prevent you from going to a race where a car might fly out into the stands and land on top of you. I dont like the idea of a person like you having children... but i dont speak out against you having the right to have children.

Well, when I see the obnoxious "gays in space" sigs and hear the obnoxious fake lisps and snarls at anything relating to males, it fills my soul with hatred and I begin to spew out spiteful characterizations and stereotypical comments.

But honestly, there's being gay and then there's being a Film Actor's Guild. Get what I'm saying?
