Also Legacy, LOTSB and Kasumi where better then any of the dlc CDP has brought out. Free does not mean good, you should learn that.

Compare what is comparable before including the word "sense", CDP never made story dlc in the first place.

So why are you still here then? To whine? To complain? To keep on saying how Bioware sucks and CDP is so awesome and TW2 is a masterpiece because it gives dlc(which are very small mind you) free?

No one is holding you here, you might as well stay at this site

Mr. House.

Half of these people who whine and make preconcived notions based on a 30 second trailer, will likely end up buying the DLC.

Frankly I didn't care for Legacy or any of the DLC Bioware has release for any game. They just can't seem to make anything...good. Also Felicia Day is not a bonus for me.

Now look at Deus Ex latest dlc or CDProjekt's which comes out and is free. I think I'll be ok.

The Deus Ex dlc isn't anymore substantial than legacy and is also nonsesically shoehorned into the narrative of the game. Also The Witcher 2 dlc doesn't take more than twenty minutes to complete so your comparisons don't really make any sense as anything other than fanboyism.

Ok, so as posted earlier, I am giving da2 a shot again as a mage (to change things up) and it's still a bit repedative but fun. Not as good as dao but good. However, I got to finally do the last dlc and I have to say "wow bioware, that's what I expect da2 to be like well done indeed" if this is the value I will get out of this new dlc then I am a buy now. Very impressive indeed, this is the kind of thing (story, details, etc) I expected da2 to be in the first place. Well done devs, I say you found your roots again so to speak. I look forward to this new installment.

If only that were true of BioWare's item packs.

I really enjoyed Legacy and haven't seen the Mark of the Assassin trailer yet but will probably buy it anyway. About halfway through with my mage and want to extend the experience as far as possible.

As much as I hate what they did to our Warden..yes I wil and only for the simple reason they said Hawke and the Warden will cross paths........I want to see just what David turned our warden into. and knowing David.....he loves to get you all goosed up.

I'll buy all the story dlc unless they put out an expansion, then I'll just wait for the compilation to have it all on disc, unless they decide to not do that.

I think I'm not going to buy it on the first day. Hopefully not the first week. Maybe not even the first month (stay strong!).

I'll get it eventually, but without any sort of commitment to supporting their products, I'm honestly not that enthused about spending more money, at least not in the timeframe where it would contribute to the DLC being deemed financially successful (not that it will have any effect whatsoever, but what else can you do?).

I don't think thats going to be in this DLC so don't get your hopes up. David seemed to be talking about either a future DLC or even DA3.

That's about where I am too.
DA2 has grown on me (I was disappointed at first, but after adjusting my expectations I've played it through a couple more times and I've found there's actually quite a lot that I enjoyed), and I liked Legacy, so I'd been planning to buy this one too - but so far everything I've seen about it has been All About Felicia Day, which is not selling point for me (I read a clip of an interview that made it sound like a total vanity project - and maybe that was just spin, but my interest dropped significantly after that).

If the player reviews are decent I might still pick it up, but I don't feel any great drive to get it right away/at full price.

He never said they would cross paths, he said it was a possibility. It's far more likely that we will never see either of them again.

Despite them sticking to their new protagonist plan I would be very surprised if we didn't see Hawke again at least. The Warden has all sorts of extra issues when it comes to importing or bringing them back (although I still hope they find a way to do it), but if they planned it right there should be much less issue with Hawke.

I'll probably purchase it, though my only gripe is the ingame model for Tallis. Felicia Day looks great in Dragon Age redemption and outside of acting. The Dragon Age 2 model for Tallis doesnt do any justice and it looks like she was designed with only 60% to 70% effort. It doesn't have that "Wow" to it like Hawke, Varric, Fenris, Arishok and even Corypheus(even tho he looks like he was hit by a train). Looking at the models for those characters, i know BioWare could have come up with something better for Tallis.

I actually think the biggest issue with Legacy is that it shows just what the main game could have been, and wasn't.

@OP: Yes, I will be buying MotA. Assuming it's of Legacy quality, that is. Since I play on PS3 in the EU, I'll get it a day later than a lot fo people, so I'll be able to read some spoiler-free reviews before I buy.

@OP Yes. Despite my issues with the game, I love the character work and interaction and can't help playing the game over and over it seems.

They put an addictive chemical in it that makes me crave it fortnightly!

if the idea is for each game to feature a new protagonist, then I would prefer if neither the Warden or Hawke appeared again. except maybe in passing reference, like "The Hero of Ferelden did this ( for the Warden )" or "The Champion of Kirkwall did that ( for Hawke )."

with that being said, I am looking forward to Mark of the Assassin.

Even I bought all ME2 story based DLC's and almost al DA:O DLC I can't stop thinking about this DLCs are TOO EXPENSIVE for the gaming experience they offer....

I'm really amazed how people are so willing to contunue spending their money with practice that I'm more convinced that's just a "money-sucker"

^same... 800 points for me is too much, i also enjoy fallout NV, bought 2 of their dlc's for 800 points and they take me days to complete, honestly you'd struggle to complete a NV dlc in a day. When i played legacy which cost 800 and completed it in a matter of hours (exploring every nook and cranny, doing every side mish) i couldn't believe how much it had cost me for so little. HAving said that, i didn't find legacy much fun tbh. MoTA on the other hand really peaks my interest, i've heard it's longer than legacy but i will definitely wait to see what others say.

That's a really good point.

I imagine the price jump from a New Vegas DLC has to do with dialogue and voice actor costs.

New Vegas DLC:

Dead Money- 4 voice actors.
Honest Hearts- I have no idea, many natives sounded the same but I don't know.
Old World Blues- About 3-5 voice actors. 4 Bots at Big Mt. and the villain. A few robots sounded like the same guys.
Lonesome Road- 3 actors? Maybe 4? Most of it is Ulysses talking and the head scientist talking through ED-E's memory.

Legacy had every companion character come back, both Hawkes, the Wardens, a few Carta guys, and Cory at the end. The Carta had some reuses in their ranks but that's still far more voice actors than any of the F:NV DLC had. And I imagine Mark of the Assassin is about the same.

So while content wise the New Vegas DLC's add many many hours of exploring, perks, items, and the like... the DA2 DLC is much more story focused, heavy on voice actors and a bit pricer for its run-time.

We're kinda to blame too. Everyone always complained that the ME2 DLC had none of the crews' actors come back. The line we got was that it would be expensive. The DA2 DLC have everyone come back each time.

Is that worth your money or not? I cannot answer for you.

But it is expense... it's a 1/6th of the price of the game brand new.

I'm getting it. It looks so fun!
