when dragon age 2 came out, i assumed i would be buying each dlc that came out the day they came out, instead i find myself unable to finish the game cause i just lost interest. Bioware lost its touch, and im not really sure i want to pay money to see if they improved it. IF they released good free dlc that showed the dlc is better then the base game i would buy the dlc, but im just going to half to assume its as bad as the base game
Legacy was much better than DAII's base game and the people who got MotA early because of a fluke say that it's also better than DAII's base game.
Legacy is combat heavy while MotA is dialog heavy.
So I'd say they're worth it.

Got legacy and it restored my faith enough to put the DA series back on the radar. But done with DA2.

Apparantly they are better, but I don't feel the need to spend additional funds on DLC which fixes largely superficial issues, particularly when I largely disliked the main game.

I think "much" better is an overstatement. If you like the base game, you would appreciate the attempts to improve encounter design and the new areas. If you don't like the base game, Legacy is not substantially different and all in all I found it bleh. The Ethereal Writer Redux wrote...

So, as a status update, it looks like BioWare has taken steps to halt my principled stand by time-limiting their bonus item so that my purchase has to be within the profitability period.devSin wrote...
I think I'm not going to buy it on the first day. Hopefully not the first week. Maybe not even the first month (stay strong!).
I'll get it eventually, but without any sort of commitment to supporting their products, I'm honestly not that enthused about spending more money, at least not in the timeframe where it would contribute to the DLC being deemed financially successful (not that it will have any effect whatsoever, but what else can you do?).
So I can either forfeit the item and purchase later (letting them know that my purchase is deferred because they refuse to support me), or I can purchase to get the item (and power-grab for the achievement on Casual), and even though my opinion hasn't changed and I won't actually play the DLC anytime soon, my $10 is on the balance sheet and my concerns can be dutifully ignored (they were always going to be ignored, but now they make me complicit in their neglect).
So, sure, I'll pick up the DLC before the end of the month and will unlock the achievement, but you guys still suck. You're on my stank list, and you've now moved up a slot.

No one has also yet said if there is a option to discuss with party members when you want to, nor has anyone said if the cutscene discussion is in par with the party bantern. Bantern is nice to listen but it is not the reason to play a game.
It seems I will not be buying this dlc.

I still have to buy and play Golems and Witch Hunt for DAO, so this is where my money will go when I'll play a DA game again.

After Legacy I can't see any reason why I would bother with anything DA2 again. Especially not at the extortion prices they charge for letting us supposedly see how they "fixed" the game.
£10 for a four-ish hour DLC?! Robbery of the highest order for sure, they should be ashamed.

£10 pounds might not seem like much to you but that doesn't mean you can criticise other people for how they view expenditure. This dlc is pretty expensive as far as gaming goes if your prepared to pay that much for it then that's fine but don't criticise people who aren't or try to make them look foolish for it

Still, Firky decided to buy it. Was pretty clear on passing, due to not liking the idea of in-game actor - as a generalised concept. But Firky remains committed to reconcilling the complex psychological soup that comes with being both an RPG diehard and stalwart supporter of DAII.
Cue someone calling me arrogant or similar ....
