Day 1 buy, no questions. Yes, DA 2 wasn't perfect, but it is still right on top on my "favorites-of-all-time" list (together with DAO). Definitely my favorite Bioware series. Especially with some nice changes they did in Legacy.

Ok, first of all I love the Legacy DLC it was really fun but too short. Too short because it was too fun.

Anyway, just by what I saw on the trailer in mark of the assassin. I will definately buy it. The new character looks so hot. It also remind me of Kasumi's DLC from ME2 and it was a great fun DLC.

So, how about you guys. Have Legacy changed your mind about DA2? Enough to make you buy further DLC for DA2?

I gave Legacy a chance because a friend recommended it, but I didn't like it. Hawke was still reactive, he didn't have any meaningful choice because his two choices resulted in the same ending, and I felt like all Hawke did was make things much, much worse than they already were. Also, Hawke is as passive about the antagonist in Legacy as he is about the antagonist in "Shepherding Wolves," basically doing nothing about someone who is very dangerous.

Unless someone tells me that Hawke is going to demonstrate intelligence and be proactive in this DLC story, it's not worth it for me.

Nope. I made the decision after DA2 to no longer support it and I won't. So no DLC's for me.

Ordinarily, I would be saying I'd definitely buy story dlc on the first day. But I'm still waiting for the import flags to be fixed with Legacy before I play it in my Fenris romance game. So I guess I'll wait to find out if the imports work properly in this new dlc before I get it.

I know ... I know ... romance only plays a small part in the game. But if there is a romance, it's very irritating when it's broken.

Have you heard of any updates on the romance flags in Legacy? What was once a "we're looking into it" item seems to have been swept under the rug. :?

I had heard that the fix was a little complicated.  I think they said it would have to go in as a patch, and due to xbox and PS issues, they couldn't just patch for that single bug.  That's why I want to wait to see if the imports work properly in the new dlc, since it's a problem that likely wouldn't get fixed quickly.

But ... knowing my lack of willpower, it's still possible that I won't be able to wait, and I'll end up buying it right away.  :P

Even I bought all ME2 story based DLC's and almost al DA:O DLC I can't stop thinking about this DLCs are TOO EXPENSIVE for the gaming experience they offer....

I'm really amazed how people are so willing to contunue spending their money with practice that I'm more convinced that's just a "money-sucker"

That's an interesting and controversial point. A story DLC costs 7 euros more or less and you can play it in 2-4 hours. A ticket to the cinema or a beer at the pub costs the same price more or less. I could continue with examples. But the general perception is that DLC are too expensive and I cannot understand the difference in giving value to activities or things. I'm not saying that's it's wrong, I'm just saying that I would like to understand why people give different value to DLCs and other activities that costs more or less the same.

Personally, I think that a 7 euros story based DLC is overpriced when it's bad like most DA:O's ones. But when it's at the same level of ME2 dlcs or Legacy,  I think that the price is fair. There are games that are 15 hrs long that costs 50 euros.

My brain is telling me not to, but since I just can't get enough of Dragon Age I think I'm gonna have to succumb to my addiction and buy it as soon as it's available.
Jeez, the next two months are filled with new games trying to take over my life (BF3, Skyrim, Mark Of The Assassin) and they will most definitely succeed!

Nope. I installed DA II one time. Worst mistake this year. No more crap on my PC.

Also if you read about this whole DLC you will see that it's only "Kasumi Stolen Memory" in DA II way. You know. Stealing secret while being on a party, talking with big holographic magic head (i bet) and stuff like that. And probably countless boring fights all way to the end.

Sorry. Not my cup of tea.

I'm inclined to say no. I only finished 1 DA2 playthrough,I've basically checked out. I would also feel dirty paying them to advertise to me. I would still gladly shell out the big bucks for some DAO DLC ... provided it didn't suck.

It looks interesting like Legacy was. The cost really isn't that much when you consider that Awakening was $40 for about 12 hours, even these at $10 at about 3 to 4 hours apiece, the comparison comes out a wash. And Hawke's story is done about as much as the Warden's is. At least these little dlc's fit into the Adventures of Hawke. ;)

60 euro's for the game
4 euro's for 1 item pack
10 euro's for DLC legacy

That makes a total of....74 euro's..

And then there is DLC number 2: Mark of the Assassin: 10 euro's

Am I gonna buy it?....

Yeah, ....what can I say: I am a sucker for Dragon Age...

84 euro's.... Oomph....

I'll wait until the third day after release before considering it. Past experiences have taught me to give dlc a waiting period. I'll check the boards' reviews and gauge if it's something I'd enjoy. Between system-debilitating bugs (Return to Ostagar) or story disappointment (also Return to Ostagar), most DLC are no-longer insta-buys for me.

DLC - I don't *like* the idea of having to buy more game after the fact but I still do it.

Waiting for import romance flags to be fixed for Legacy before I buy that one and will wait to hear reviews on this Mark DLC (bugs?) however I do plan to buy both eventually.

While DAO is a far superior game, I have enjoyed DA2 as well.

I'm going to buy it. Sure, DA 2 vanilla was really bad, but the DLC is much better. Also, when comparing DLC from both DA:O and DA2, DA:O can't hold much of a candle to the original's DLC in terms of storytelling and quality (at least, imo). This is also not counting the glitch fest that was Awakenings.

Bought Legacy DLC and enjoyed it. But Mark of the Assassin DLC has a story that im not interested to play. So not a day one buy. I wait until its out and read user reviews about all story parts that the DLC is about.

If it is only "Tallis-Hawke" story content, then no, i will not buy it.

Well, it has more dialogue than Legacy and a little less combat (not significantly less, though), so I suppose if you skip through most of the dialogue you might be able to finish it in 2-2.5 hours.

Though I imagine you weren't looking for a rational engagement on the length of the DLC. Which is fair enough, I suppose, though I question the reasoning behind it.
