Yea, I'll spring for it. Looks fun enough.

Also I'm 100% in support of anything that allows me to kill a bunch of Orlesians.

You make a good point with movie tickets. My husband and I went to see a matinee of Contagion yesterday, and it was $7.50 each. EACH. For less than 2 hours of a little better than average entertainment.

Why not just watch a DVD?

That's always an option, if you feel like waiting. We didn't, so we went to the theater. And my husband is my sugar daddy. Hehehe, j/k. :P

I'm still debating whether or not I should.

I've never been interested in Redemption, and it's more than obvious this DLC is just a means to gather an audience for the series. I've never been intrigued by stealth or heist missions either, so I honestly doubt Mark of the Assassin will be my cup of tea. Another thing is that I just can't picture any of my Hawkes to agree and help Tallis, unless I go back and activate the quest in Act I.

On the other hand, however, BioWare has set quite a tone with Legacy, and I must admit I've been eagerly waiting for more content.

So I suppose I'll wait till it hits the shelves and I can get more information.

After playing DA2, i pretty much moved on to other games. Origins on the other hand is still installed on my computer.

No. DA2 is a mediocre game at best - And the Elves are painful to look at it.

Still Playing Origins though and will pay for new DLC's.

There won't be any new DLC for origins. It was stated as such.

I'm looking forward to Mark of the Assassin. Probably will get it.

I bought Legacy as soon as it was available, and I really enjoyed it playing through it. Totally worth the money for me. However, I'm going to wait for some reviews to come out this time around. I was excited when I first heard about the DLC but after watching the trailer I just feel really ambivalent about the whole thing. Although I like the other things she's been in, I'm not convinced Felicia Day's voice is a good fit for the role

Well, it has more dialogue than Legacy and a little less combat (not significantly less, though), so I suppose if you skip through most of the dialogue you might be able to finish it in 2-2.5 hours.

Though I imagine you weren't looking for a rational engagement on the length of the DLC. Which is fair enough, I suppose, though I question the reasoning behind it.

And see, these are the kind of straight forward responses I want to see about length questions; 2.5 - 3 hours is a good bargain for 10 dollars, when a movie during matinee prices will run over that after soda or popcorn.

Almost certainly. I won't buy it on the day of release (I've been burnt by Witch Hunt), but if everyone on these forums gives it good feedback (like Legacy) then I'll certainly grab it within a few days. I am optimistic, Legacy *was* awesome imho.

As always, any comments about length are speculative and dependent on playstyle. If you're someone who tends to pay more attention to conversations and doesn't skip through, it'll likely be a fair bit longer. Lots of optional investigates and sidebars in this module.

Playstyle impacts length in a pretty noticeable fashion.

Yep. I listen to everyline of dialogue possible. Legacy's time has only shortened because I know when and how to fight and even then it only shaved off about 30 mins total. So if it's as long as Legacy's 3- 4 hours then I'm good. I don't know if it was answered but how many MS points will it cost? There's a couple of good DLCs releasing in the same time frame if you know what I mean.

That's more like it.

I HATED DA2, but Mark of the Assassin actually looks good to some extent. I'm sure it won't be great, but it'll probably be decent.

I don't understand why everyone rags on Darkspawn Chronicles.. it was fun..

Noone likes to play evil basterds i see :( I enjoyed DC as a Dungeon Keeper/Overlord Fan.

HUGE Dungeon Keeper fan here so I am with you on that one. I love playing the chaotic evil/neutral characters.

As for the new DLC, I cannot believe I am actually considering this since I have been such a huge fan of DA for so long but I am seriously considering not getting it. At least for a while. I just recently finished playing my 7th play through and there are still so many plots unanswered, no continuation of any of the main plots and I am having a really hard time getting excited about another DLC that is just adding another plot that will most likely not fit in with the main story, and will leave a ton of unanswered questions AGAIN.

It is becoming more frustrating than enjoyable. Also like someone said previously in the News thread, the DLC for DA2 from this point forward is just filler and money making fluff until DA3 where they are going to trash my previous characters and companions just to start a completely new story and character. But we'll see...

I read on the announcement that it is going to be the same cost as Legacy...

It would be a real shame for anyone to race through Dragon Age 2 content. They would miss a lot of smaller details, not only in gameplay, but also in the art as well which is really part of the game and should therefore be given time to be appreciated.
I love taking the time to look around the environments, the guys at BioWare are really doing an amazing job!

Wait, what? You're waiting for more Origins DLC? You are aware that BioWare have moved on to DA2, right?
Or are you saying that DA2 was mediocre but you'll pay for its DLC i.e. Legacy, MotA?

The moment it is released.
So far I've bought every DLC on release and they were all worth the money (some more than others) and MotA looks great and with Felicia Day and the Harlekin in it, it has to be awesome.
And as we all know, rogues have more fun.

I think we know that there is no more DAO DLC, but , at least in my case, if they decided to make some good DAO dlc, I would happily buy it. As far as DA2 goes, I''m really not interested.

I heard a lot of praise for legacy and tried it, while I didnt think it was great, I thought it was decent and took some steps in the right direction for the series. If I hear good things about the new one I will give it a shot to see what improvements they have made.

There is a cynical side of me that feels like I am being charged money to play test new ideas for the DA team, I try to shove those thoughts out of my head.

Yep. Day 1 probably. Loved Legacy and they seem to be following the same formula for success with MotA. Bioware hasn't let me down with story based dlc since LotSB.
