First off, let me say that I have play throughs were I stayed faithful to Ashley and play throughs were I "cheated" on Ashley.  In each i have very different views about what happened on Hoizon and how my Shepards dealth with them, and in each I have something that I want to tell her....

If I stayed faithful I want to tell her this...
"I forgave you right after you said it, I know it was a jolt to see each other again and under the circumstances that they happened in.  We're only human and we let our emotions get the better of us.    Thank you for the apology, I know you are no good at them and it was the fact you took the time to write it, it means something.  We can work this out,what do you say!"

If I "cheated" on her, this was basically my gut reaction the first time I played it, but gave my response some though....
"I was dead Ashley, no one but Cerberus and The Shadow Broker came to look for me.  I awoke surrounded by enemies, with the Council and the Alliance denouncing everything I said about the Reapers.  I tried to find you to talk to you, but I was stonewalled at every turn.  Then we found each other on Horizon and I KNEW that you woudl have my back, I KNEW it, there was no question about it, the person I loved and cared about the most would help me through all of this chaos.  But you turned your back on me, called me a traitor and a fool and a blind follower.  You believed all the rumors and just reacted, without ever askign me what was going on.  You treated me like the Alliance treated your grand father.  And your so called apology e-mail was luke warm and half hearted at best, yes I have changed.  Now you have the audacity get angry with me when I find solice with another, the woman who gave up everythign for me (Miranda) everything she ever knew,gone, for me.  Get in line with the mission or get the f** off my ship Lieutenant!"

If I didn't romance her at all, I just don't care what she said.  I have a mission to accomplish and baggage cannotget in the way of it.  Yeah it sucks, but that is life.

Either way, it's some sorely needed closure for their romance.

And yes, I am sure thsi has probably been mentioned elsewhere but I needed to vent, suck it up.

That sounds quite reasonable actually.  Something I would want my canon femShep to say to him.  She's with Liara, Kaidan is just a friend.  Or she hopes so.  Not sure after Horizon.

I'd love to have said that as my FemShep romancing him, too. I hated that no option was given to say, "You're right, I don't trust them, but can you trust me?"
