A cleric of Jergal would probably be fatalistic, one of Kelemvor would be cynical.
Jergal clerics would be much rarer and tend to rely on combat skills, Kelemvor clerics would rely more on direct magic. Conversely Jergal clerics are more likely to create undead, Kelemvor ones do it less often but should create more powerful or enhanced ones when they do.
Kelemvor is active on the prime material and Jergal is completely apathetic so both priesthoods would get a lot of freedom from their patron, those of Kelemvor obviously more likely direct assistance.
From what I'm reading Mystran clergy ought to be loose friends although I'm sure there's open warfare with Cyricists. Jergal clergy would be in a weird position, Cyricists would put them in the same basket as Kelemvor but Jergal wouldn't have anything against Cyric personally, probably neither do his priests.
I wouldn't be surprised if Jergal clergy are failing to take effective steps from being wiped out. It appears Jergal is quite happy to retire as a deity.
Of course last time I actually played PnP the books were all 2nd Ed. I just looked up the two deities on a web blog.

Jergal is opposed to Cyric in 3e. He did not appreciate how Cyric abused the office of death and the dead while holding it, and has little tolerance for him. That said, Jergal only goes out of his way to curtail Velsharoon's efforts. As noted, Jergal's church is small and his influence is waning. Although there are hints in the late 3e, early 4e period that Jergal may have been playing an elaborate game ever since he willingly abandoned portfolios to Bane, Myrkul, and Bhaal, and that he will return to his former strength in a big way someday. My guess is that if it ever happens, it will not be until WotC needs another shakeup to prepare for a new edition. Assuming it is not another of those rumor mill plot threads that will never get picked up.
