So all I want to know is how to get the command console to open in Mass Effect, I tried editing the BaseInput.ini file and it already has the line "ConsoleKey=Tilde" in it, but when I push the tilde key in game nothing happens, what can else can I do to enable the command console? It's not just that the command console is "invisible" because I can move my character around, and you cant do that while the command console is open. I looked all over the internet and I can't find a solution, help me save my sanity!!!!!!!! lol

Also, I am playing it through steam if that makes a difference

You need to edit the bioinput.ini file, not baseinput.ini

my bad, bioinput was actually what I meant, I went to the Engine.console part and even tried changing the key that opens the command console, but nothing happened

All I can suggest is going over your work and make sure its in the right location in the bioinput.ini
