If they make a character s/s, woohoo. If you want that than woo for you! It worked out for the character to be able to be represented in a different way while still being the same ol' character you love. If you don't want that, you don't have to explode that sexuality if you don't want to. That's kind of the whole point of the Mass Effect series.
If they don't make them that way? Woohoo. Bioware makes the game and clearly they didn't see it fit into a character they already created.
I'm sure they aren't writing each character with whatever love interest they have in mind. They write them as compelling characters and companions. I know I don't create characters thinking "this guy is gonna be a homosexual who's in love with---" etc. No, I think "what does this guy look like, what are his moral standings, what's his background, what's his role in this story, what's his personality like--"etc. Unless i'm writing smut, then it's all about sexuality but that's cause it's smutty smut smut. Which, ME is not. (Even though I'm sure many fanfic writers would love it to be so)
Point is: Stop bickering about what you personally feel would be the correct choice for the developers to choose because honestly, you have no say in it. Obviously they did a good enough job in creating kickass games to even get you to a forum about said games. I think at this point it's safe to say that they know what they are doing. So why worry? If they do or don't add things in, they'll handle either way amazingly.
Plus you all look like silly sillyheads. So put the pitchforks down and go take a nap or something. A nap makes everything better.
