I'll stick with one person thank you.

Indeed. But would you support Poly relationships as an option?

Probably not, sorry.

And why is that?

Simply because I don't agree with it.

What about for those who want it as an option?

Thats fine, they can have the option if they want it. Not a big deal. ;)

I think she supports the people who want it but isn't something she would partake in ME3.

So all sentient beings in the universe are about to be wiped out of existence and Sheps got time to think about how he/she wants to structure his romantic life?

No, because it would undermine the promised consequences of cheating.

Cheating? A thing of the past.

Seems that it's not polyamory you want but FreeLoveFuture
Based on that, I'd rather they didn't include this (which they won't).

Aha! So when the chips are down, you would support it as a feature in a game such as ME. :kissing:

So.. you are indifferent to a game portraying any other type of relationships then those you prefer?
You are not against it, but you are not in favor of it either.? right?

Is this a test or something?  Do I get a lollypop if I pass lol. :o Seriously though, personally I don't agree with or ''get into'' polyamorous relationships, its just not my thing. In short, I don't support it. However, if others do support it,  to each his own, no skin off my back what they do, I just won't be involved.

it goes something like this:
When you support something, like an option, in a game (or a law or whatever) you not just supporting something giving yourself an option, but also support others having an option. Not supporting an option is often analogous in result to opposing an option (like for example gay marriage or whatever) because you often need enough people to support something to make it happen or make it legal and accepted.

I wouldn't personally support it, nah. I probably wouldn't throw a fit if they DID do it, but if they asked the community "would you want this to happen" I would vote "no." Particularly since I don't think it makes sense for any of the love interests introduced so far.

As I´ve stated earlier, I have personally seen people who I had never expected abandoning a "purist" monogamy position do so. And again, as I have stated earlier, it seem to require specific circumstances that might be very diffrent from person to person.

Short Answer: Yes.

Long Answer: Only If it fits with the personality of the characters in question.

This. And it would have to be represented in a mature fashion.  There are lots of mature adult polyamorous relationships out there, but this kind of territory can go so bad in a game.  It could suddenly be "lulz threeway!" rather than being about the people and relationships.

I fully agree.

Its in this the challange and reward and value for such stories is found.

The question is, is the Mass Effect "everyone in a lesbian relationship is either dead or heartbroken and non-Gavorn gays don't exist" writing team up to the task?

Sure. As long as I'm given easy ways to avoid such settings (like, I don't accidentally get locked into an open relationship), I don't really mind what other people's games look like. And who knows? Maybe there are colonies like Heinlein's lunar city out there, with line marriages to deal with wonky sex ratios.
