Was wondering if it was just me or is that Jennifer Hale doing the voice for the commander of the second stranded camp in Hanover?

I could swear its her, but shes not listed anywhere in any credits I can find.

Jennifer hale is in a lot of works. Its become less of a treat to me.

When an actor, no matter the medium, is over exposed they lose their appeal, at least to me. For example will smith is never the character he plays for me, he's will smith. Will smith fighting robots, will smith with super powers, will smith surviving the apocalypse.

She has talent, but her range has become less noticeable lately. I can always tell its her.

Not Hale. It was Courtenay Taylor (a.k.a. Jack). Had my suspicion when Taylor was hyping Gears 3 on Facebook and Twitter.

I feel this way about Steve Blum as well, Grunt's VA.  He's everywhere.

Not possible. GoW is manly mans game for men who like being men. Any females in the game are clearly hallucinations as women have no place in such manly games.

Speaking of voice actors I really like Mark Meer's voice acting range, he did the placeholder Mordin voice for E3 (which was almost completely spot on even if you could still notice it wasn't the proper voice actor) and he voice acts all of the Vorcha in ME 2.

But I guess that might just be because we haven't heard Mark Meer do a ton of voice acting before (whereas people such as Jennifer Hale and that Blum guy voice act for lots of cartoons, t.v shows and games and etc.)

Really? That's nuts. I remember when someone said Claudia Black voiced the asari bartender on Illium and I couldn't believe it. It was just so radically different from anything else she did. You figure these two have no range and they prove you wrong.

Though I'm finding it tough to confirm that he did those voices. As for Hale, she is in just about everything. It's unfortunate but I can recognize most voice actors because it seems the talent pool is so incredibly small.

Small but quality VA for the most part.  I'd rather have the same VA with good range and doing their roles well than have many VA but them being awful.

If I had the game, I could tell you. I've been following Jennifer Hale since I first heard her voice in the Mighty Ducks Cartoon. Since then, she hasn't been able to hide from my ears.

But I don't yet, I'm getting it as a present and the person getting it for me doesn't live with me, so I have to wait til they come to visit. That could be later this week or next week, considering the person.

Also, IMDB has Courtenay Taylor listed as doing various voices, so it's possible that it's actually Courtenay taylor.

Uh, it is. I've heard Jack's voice long enough to recognize Taylor. On top of that, she's been hyping up Gears of War 3 on both her Facebook and Twitter pages.

Hale is not listed anywhere in the credits for GOW 3 so I highly doubt it was her... you don't omit the name of a major voice actress from a game's credits.

It's all about getting the feel of the character and the delivery. There is sufficient voice morphing software that is "Hollywood" grade made by a company over in France that can totally change the character of a voice and leave virtually no artifacts. So I wouldn't be surprised at all to hear the same voice actor doing several small parts in a game.

Jen. Hale is the standard to any war torn female soldier, I think. From femshep to mallory from the mighty ducks, to that one girl in bulletstorm.

Never played gow 3, however.

So, I just bought the game.

Jennifer Hale is in Gears of War 3! When you have to find Dom and then Jace right after the dream sequence, when the stalk goes by and they have you look at it, the woman who comments how they give her the creeps is voiced by Jennifer Hale.

Also, Peter Reneday voices Adam Fenix, Marcus Fenix's father.

Anyway, she definitely plays that girl you encounter when you first get to Cole's hometown, as well as the mean **** of a "boss" of that town. I swear it's her. x.x
