The geth "eye" emulates the quarians light on their masks.

Quarians and geth DO look a lot alike. If you put a metal plate where the visor would be, and get rid of the hood Quarians would look like a different kind of geth.

I do wonder why tough...the geth were made before the quarians were forced off-planet and had to use encolsed space-suits. Hence, before every quarian wore a helmet with a flashing light built in.

Presumably they had such suits already, as they would need to use them when on the Citadel etc.

"Presumably".

Really, I don't know how the hell BioWare managed to **** up the lore of the quarians immuno-deficiency so badly. It contradicts itself so many times over that I can't really see any of it as canon.

Let's just look over it:
1) It is described as being a weakened immune system because of sterility aboard the MF. This means they effectively have AIDS, since their bodies can't fight off contaminants.
2) It is described as being a hyper-active immune system because of dirtiness aboard the MF. This means the slightest exposure will cause their bodies to aggressively attack the contaminants, leading to debilitating sickness symptoms like fever, lethargy and hyperalgesia.
3) Aethyta says she remembers quarians without masks, but background info about Rannoch implies the reason for the quarians weak immune system is because they evolved to be symbiotic with the plant life on Rannoch due to an absence of insect life. So how can she know what they look life if the lore suggests they would require suits at all times anyway? (Unless she boinked one).

One more reason why they are the worst species.

1) and 3) doesn't contradict themselves, as theit body can ONLY be symbiotic with the plant life of their original planet (reason why they need to get it back from the geth), and by such their body doesn't know how to fight against other sickness so they need sterility aboard the MF.

I don't remember 2) by the way, where does that comes from?

That and it would seem this Aethyta must have seen Quarians on their home planet

That and seeing as the Quarians had an embassy on the Citadel I think we can say with a degree of certainty that they must have had such enviro-suits at least for there

The point was that because their symbiosis with the Rannoch flora, they are sensitive to alien contaminants and thus need to use suits. Except that it is outright stated that they only started needing suits after centuries aboard "sterile" ships in the MF. Ships which plenty of times have been stated to be dirty. So, which is it? Always suits? Or only suits after Exodus?

I don't remember 2) by the way, where does that comes from?

The gist of it is that they keep their suits on in the MF because the ships are dirty. I think it's mentioned in Ascension? And the way the reaction to contaminants is described is contradictory to how someone with a weak immune system would react. Also in Ascension, IIRC.

It is a change in lore if it was stated that they only brought about enviro-suits after the Exodus, I just don't remember ever seeing that said

I don't think BioWare would do that. Who knows if we'll even see what they look like.
Just my opinion though.

At this point, I'll be a bit disappointed if they reveal her face.  It's the same reasoning why many people find Victoria Secret more alluring than Playboy- the mystery is great.

Lol.
I really want to see her face.
I got Talimancer status.

This isn't something you should embrace.

uMad bro?

Turns out that they are Geth inside their suits; the uprising was more successful than many had realised..

If only that were true.. would add some delicious extra hypocrisy on their stance against the geth.

I'm rooting for that option, as slim chance as it will be. I also think it's the only thing that could appease both the talimancers and the talihaters.

If she looks even remotely human, it will be a disgusting cop out. She should look like admiral Ackbar to be ralistic. Quarian? with a name like that they got to look like an aquatic race.

They won't be ugly. Not sure why people think they aren't the space version of nigh elves. We all know they are.

Seeing as Shepard took off Tali's helmet and didn't cringe in horror... I doubt they could possibly be dubbed, "Hideous".

Geth were made by them right? And they are supose to "look" like them? So they are like a fleshy version of a geth? just with two eyes.

You know, those two shiny things inside their masks ...

And also, this:

Quarians are generally shorter and of slighter build than humans.
Quarians have an endoskeleton, lips, teeth, and two eyes with eyelids
and tear ducts; they also have three thick fingers on both hands which
include a thumb and an index finger, as well as three toes on each foot.
Their lower legs are bowed backwards significantly, compared to asari
or humans. Aside from hands and legs, their general body shape and
sexual dimorphism is similar to humans. Their ears or ear analogues
differ in a noticeable fashion from those of humans, with references
made to "what [passes] for the quarian version of an ear".

So it wouldn't be that strange if they turned out to be space elves.

Since Garrus is apparently considered "Teh Hotness" by the girlies, and he looks like a cross between Skelator and that Lazarus thing from Doctor Who, would it really matter?

I'm pretty much curious what people are wanting, in order for the Quarians to be hideous enough to measure up to their dreams of revenge upon the Talimancers?

We have people choosing Garrus as the most dreamy love interest imaginable and he looks like some sort of lizard cross with an insect carapace. If he stepped out of dark alley and only hissed, rather than speaking perfect english, he'd be horror movie material, right up there with the ALIENS movie without the tail.

Others know exactly what Thane looks like, and want to have his children. Throw Thane into a movie with cave explorers, have him slither out of darkness in a damp scary cave and gurgle gurgle in his language, he is the thing of nightmares.

So how hideous should the Quarians be? :)
