It's so funny how the majority of Talimancers claim that their "love" for Tali is based on her character and other bull****, but I bet that if she turned out to be ugly or too alien 99% will rage on the forums here or whatever that she isn't beautiful enough.
Of course we would. And that's mostly to blame on BioWare keeping this guessing game going for longer than it should have. What is even more funny though, is seeing how many people wish for the Talimancers' rage when I know that novelty laughter will fade in 2 seconds and you'll all be annoyed by the whining for the coming months/years.
It would be unwise to make her hideous.
Speaking for myself though, I'll only rage if they don't show her face at all.

No they should make her hideous.....it will break the typical cliche of the hero getting a hot love interest. It is sad really that in these days of scifi, so many people want ALIENS to look quite HUMAN. Doesn't that destroy the point of them being ALIENS in the first place?

Trying to start a flame war or something with all those generalzations?
I would only be upset if they don't show her face at all. I would like her to have a nice face to go with her nice body and personality but I can play ME 3 as a talimancer with an "Ugly" tali. And I wouldn't go on the forums to complain about it. If I would complain I would send an email to Bioware, making a thread on the forums would just be to get attention from other forum whiners and not Bioware.
*EDIT*

I think caving into not wanting to be a cliche is more a leash on creativity and cliche in itself. It's like making a character so not mary sue you're just doing it to show how much you won't make a mary sue character and you fall into the other extreme.
I remeber reading a book the name leaves me where the Main character a human male does have a relationship with a beatle like bug alien and it was "OK" in my book.

I want them to be anything other than space babes. I want them to look vastly different to any other species in ME as we already have humans plus asari which look human facial features wise and I do not want them [quarians] to look human too.
I would like those people who picked her as LI claiming picked for personality not looks, would afterwards upon seeing true face go... "We made out and had sex with that weird slime creature or spider faced bug like species!?"
Upon which knowing that the true face has bug eyes and inverted features plus all females have beards that they would realise it does matter and not just about personality as they claimed because honestly I would find that amusing and it would make my day maybe week or even month. On top of that if they indeed made quarians look human [facially] just like humans + asari already do then it shows Bioware lacks imagination and creativity.
Sorry for copy and paste but given this thread is exactly same topic as one I posted this in, this saves me time writing it out again and merely changing for sake of it.

Why do people always wonder about the Quarians, but never volus?
If they made a Volus LI that would change.

Artists draw from life. For anything that doesn't look HUMAN, they take from ANIMALS (unless the alien is some kind of mass of energy/blob/etc; which also has been done many times over). One is not exclusive to the other by any means, but it's these two wells of which 99% of any life is drawn.
To make a love interest more hideous in your terms is to make something less human and more something that society frowns upon, as you can imagine. So of course they use that "cliche" of an attractive alien (more human-like) because it's biologically driven by *drumroll* humans. Well... at least by most of us.

Assuming Bioware shows Tali's face, I think they should go a similar route that they did with the Drell. Not that the Quarians should necessarily be a reptilian species, but that like the Drell they should sort of be an even mix between human and alien features.

some people will...but the individuals saying that they honestly don't give four flying ****s will most likely...........not give four flying ****s...it has nothing to do with "love" or w/e...it's just that her appeal didn't come in the promise of the face of a goddess...
besides, this is BSN....people will **** for ANYTHING...I honestly expect a thread to be made when ME3 comes out ****ing about the sound effects of the menu screen...

I don't think they would intentionally make a LI unattractive, give them some credit. As long as they aren't too human I have no complaints.
Now that Tali has been made a LI, I agree with this. If the Quarians are ever revealed you can guarantee that they aren't going to be repulsive.
I just hope that Bioware wouldn't go too far into the other direction and just make them humans with an exotic skin tone.

Hopefully we're safe in that regard, we already have the Asari for that. For me, there needs to be emphasis on the eyes, since they're already one of their prominent features. I would think they would be even more noticable once the helmets are gone.
