Connecting to EA servers issue - funky passwords:

My problem: I installed the game for the first time Sunday. I try to log onto the Dragon Age server in game, I get past the ID and password screen, accept the terms of service, but then get an error that says the password is invalid. Both my EA and Bioware passwords are the same and I am using that password. My e-mail is approved. Phone support suggested I check my firewall, but I don't see any errors. I am running Windows 7 with Kaspersky as my firewall. I am using game version 1.04. Please help. Thank you.

Your message has been posted in the wrong thread and is(was) incomplete (doesn't look to be any MORE complete this time). You'll have to do much better than this to get assistance, but I can tell you that the Kaspersky brand of protection gets no respect at all from experienced game players. It is just not suitable for our needs at all.

1. You posted this in the wrong forum (DA2). It belonged in the DAO Tech Forum that matches your game's hardware platform.lyger500 wrote...
I'm trying to log into the Dragon Age: Origins Server from game. I have an EA account and registered Dragon Age. I get to the accept terms screen, but then get an error that my password is not right. This is my EA password. Is there a seperate spot whereI need to set up for the Dragon Age server? Thank you.

You may not use characters other than straight alphanumerics to create a password that works all across the various EA / Bioware sites. There is no appropriate error detection routine in the initial sign-up that will keep it from appearing to accept such bad passwords, but they simply cannot be used as intended if you included any non-alphanumerics.
