I haven't tried multiplayer.

Two Worlds 1 had a bigger world but Two Worlds 2 has better quests, better combat and more atmospheric places to explore (The Swallows, Tir Geal are the best examples I can think of here).
The multiplayer is separate from the main game, though I hear you get to explore Eirkonas which can't be reached in single player. (Well, technically, it can but you can only explore certain parts). There's also a village building multiplayer component and I hear people enjoy the multiplayer but I haven't played it.

I absolutely LOVED the TW2 multiplayer, but there are only like 8 maps/quests for it. Granted, they're decent-sized, but after a while, you get kind of bored with them, which I did. If they came out with more maps, I'd be all over it.
The biggest thing is to accept that the game doesn't take itself that seriously, which means you probably shouldn't, either.

But what I hated most was the interface. Its so overly consolized its absolutely painful on a PC. Everything is oversized and unwieldly and just made it painful to play. I haven't tried multiplayer at all, but the interface and controls left me uninclined to try.
It really needs to be closer to $15 to make a passable impulse buy. Which is a shame because at least conceptually, there's some good concepts mixed in there. Just not done well.

I guess I should have thrown in the disclaimer that I play it on XBox 360... I don't have any experience with it on PC, so I really couldn't comment.
If you were playing on XBox or PS3, I could offer lots of good co-op ideas, but for PC, I have none.

I actually just looked at that site for the first time about 15 minutes ago, out of curiosity. Sure enough, it was immediately apparent that it was not for console users.

Steam is basically the PlaystationNetwork/XBox Live for PC users. Some great bargains on there if you're a PC gamer.

Heh sorry Happy I figured I'd give the PC players take on the game. I knew you played it on console and I'd imagine the interface would be passable there.

I'm glad you did; I hate to give out bad advice! And I'm sure the OP appreciates it as well.

I bought the collector's edition for the 360.jreezy wrote...
If it's as good as Two Worlds, Stay away.
My worst gaming purchase in my entire history of gaming, and this coming from the guy that bought Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing.

I never could understand games that make horse riding work on completely different controls than walking. MMORPGs can figure this out just fine, but not single player rpgs.

LOL that's because you had to ditch the heavy horse you start with, and get a really expensive one that had been trained to turn. OK, I kid.

(Apparently he hasn't played it. His game history on XBL says he hasn't, anyway.

Two Worlds II is okay. The environments (especially water) are beautiful but the character models are pretty bad. The voice acting is unintentionally funny too. Its like watching a badly dubbed movie.
I forgot about the character models. As an artist, this probably is more noticable to me than other people, but everyones arms were too short for their bodies. I found it really distracting.
I must agree about the voice acting, but it didn't bother me so much. Like you said, it was unintentionally funny. The environments themselves did look great though.

Hah. Just noticed Two Worlds II is mocking me today by releasing a Pirate themed expansion.
I saw that a little earlier. Wasn't sure if I should mention it or not.
That would have been slightly better if it had been released yesterday!
And btw, what a terrible website.
